Are you among the many people that cast a suspicious eye towards every new invention, and every new government initiative?  If you’ve read the book of Revelation, and know about the dreaded ‘Mark Of The Beast’, I don’t think you can help it.  (Or are you someone who thinks it’s all just foolish paranoia?)

We are missing the point!  We are so intently watching the one hand, that we are not seeing what the other is doing.

RFID chips are not evil–but in the hands of evil people they can be something to fear.  A national identity card is not evil, nor are eye scanners, but in the hands of evil people they can provide power and control.  These are the sort of things we have been worried about for decades, but I say ‘stop worrying!’ . . . about these things, and be concerned instead, about the type of government we are creating!!

I agree that communism and socialism are bad.  I don’t want America to go down that road–that’s not the way I want to live!  We’re getting closer to describing the problem, but even this isn’t the issue!!  The issue is the type of government that has so much control over our lives that it dictates how we must live, and enforces compliance with brutal efficiency!  I don’t think that type of government is necessarily limited to communist or socialist regimes.

These other issues are important, and we need to stay vigilant–but lets not get so intently focused on them that we fail to see that changes are quickly being made which have put us on the path to a totalitarian government!!  I may be wrong, but I don’t think it would make much difference whether a Republican, a Democrat, and Independent, or a Socialist sits on the presidential throne.

We have just witnessed the birth of a big, powerful, new Amerikan government that hems us in and watches our every move . . . that has access to every phone call or email . . . that can track our whereabouts most of the time . . . that abolishes the rights we have legislated for our protection . . . that punishes and eliminates dissent–branding us as terrorists or traitors . . . that no longer is comprised of representatives that are chosen by the people . . . that dictates to the press how, what, and when it can report . . . that denies us a say in how we are governed . . . that eliminates our freedom to speak in opposition . . .  that determines the standard of living that is ‘fair’ for us to have . . . that takes authority over their children away from parents . . . that makes it illegal to disagree . . . that takes more and more power away from the people and keeps it for itself . . . that submits us, regardless of our will, to a global ruling authority . . . !!  Our new government is a baby beast, with a life of its own.   Don’t be fooled because it is small.   Now that it is born, it will grow, and grow, and grow!

I don’t care if you are a Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative, Indepent, Libertarian, or what have you–

Is this the kind of government you want to live under?

Again, forget about the individual issues for a moment–just take a good look at the government structure that is being built!!  Look, most of all, at the new regulatory agencies and enforcers.  Everything is being designed from a viewpoint of forced compliance. The Amerikan government is no longer a framework, within which we can pursue our dreams–it has become a prison, from which we cannot escape–where we live, in fear, a life devoid of freedom and choice.

The agenda may, or may not, be to your liking.  That is not the issue.   The policies and agenda can change, depending on who is in power.  But what won’t change is the structure.  What won’t be returned is our freedom or our personal power.  THIS is the kind of government that conceives of an idea like ‘The Mark of the Beast’ and imposes it on the people.  This is what you need to worry about–not the tools that will be used, but who is wielding them! Do you still think it’s a good idea to feed this baby beast?

And, as if living with that kind of oppression weren’t bad enough, you can rest assured that the punishment for any sort of noncompliance will be much worse.  No longer will you be able to shout in protest: ‘I have my rights!!’, because you won’t (have any rights).

Don’t assume you can hold a demonstration or go on strike.  Don’t assume your Miranda Rights will still be guaranteed.  Don’t assume you’d still be entitled to one phone call.  Don’t assume the court would provide you a lawyer if you can’t afford one.  Don’t assume that you’d be innocent until proven guilty.  Don’t assume that you could get out on bail.  Don’t even assume you’d have the right to a trial.

You see, what all the ‘Tea Partiers’, ‘Patriots’, etc.  are fighting for, is that our CONSTITUTION remain in effect!  Because that is all that protects us from the rule of tyrants. (And tyrants are the ultimate terrorists!!  It just happens that, when they are in power, they clothe themselves in government uniforms–which lend them an aura of legitimacy.)

Anyone telling you that the protests and Tea Parties are about something different is either missing the point, or they’re lying to you!

Now that you know what we’re fighting for, let me ask you this:

Shouldn’t all Americans be fighting side by side in this battle?

There’s good news and bad news.  I’ll start with the bad news first, so that we can end on a happy note.

The enemy scores.  The amount of evil on the Earth seems to be increasing.  It seems as if there are many more evil entities than used to be . . . although perhaps they were just concentrated somewhere else?

Wait! . . . The referee has made a call . . . home team scores!  It appears that the number of demonic spirits on Earth is increasing–because they are being cast down to the Earth as they are being defeated in the war (between good and evil) that is presently being fought in the heavenlies!

Jesus is a frequent victim of identity theft, and God is a common object of impersonation. Many attempt to use Him as a character reference, even though they have never met Him.

Well, well, well . . . isn’t this interesting?

Far and away, my most popular post has been Did We Do This? (Haiti Earthquake, part 2) Sure, it was interesting to me too, at the time.  But it has been a little puzzling to me, in light of all the other events that are more in the forefront these days, that this particular blog should receive so much attention.

So, with that question in the back of my mind, when I came across The Fateful Geological Prize Called Haiti (by F. William Engdahl, 30 January 2010), I had to read it.  All of the following excerpts are taken from it–all emphases are mine.  (Please read the original article in its entirety, it contains links to all sources cited.)

“Behind the smoke, rubble and unending drama of human tragedy in the hapless Caribbean country, a drama is in full play for control of what geophysicists believe may be one of the world’s richest zones for hydrocarbons-oil and gas-outside the Middle East, possibly orders of magnitude greater than that of nearby Venezuela.

Haiti, and the larger island of Hispaniola of which it is a part, has the geological fate that it straddles one of the world’s most active geological zones . . .

This vast mass of underwater plates are in constant motion, rubbing against each other . . .

The regions of convergence of such plates are also areas where vast volumes of oil and gas can be pushed upwards from the Earth’s mantle.”

(Could it be that we did indeed use HAARP to give the unstable geology there a little ‘push’?  And, I wonder if an earthquake might help bring the oil and gas a bit closer to the surface, where it would cost less to tap it?  )

“Aside from being prone to violent earthquakes, Haiti also happens to lie in a zone that, due to the unusual geographical intersection of its three tectonic plates, might well be straddling one of the world’s largest unexplored zones of oil and gas, as well as of valuable rare strategic minerals. The vast oil reserves of the Persian Gulf and of the region from the Red Sea into the Gulf of Aden are at a similar convergence zone of large tectonic plates, as are such oil-rich zones as Indonesia and the waters off the coast of California.”

“Notably, in 2005, a year after the Bush-Cheney Administration de facto deposed the democratically elected President of Haiti, Jean-Baptiste Aristide, a team of geologists from the Institute for Geophysics at the University of Texas began an ambitious and thorough two-phase mapping of all geological data of the Caribbean Basins. The project is due to be completed in 2011. Directed by Dr. Paul Mann, it is called “Caribbean Basins, Tectonics and Hydrocarbons.” It is all about determining as precisely as possible the relation between tectonic plates in the Caribbean and the potential for hydrocarbons―oil and gas.

(Now, who was it that had ties to Texas . . . ?)

Notably, the sponsors of the multi-million dollar research project under Mann are the world’s largest oil companies, including Chevron, ExxonMobil, the Anglo-Dutch Shell and BHP Billiton. . .

it is surprising that the region had not been mapped earlier. Now it emerges that major oil companies were at least generally aware of the huge oil potential of the region long ago, but apparently decided to keep it quiet.”

In October 2008 a consortium of oil companies led by Spain’s Repsol, together with Cuba’s state oil company, Cubapetroleo, announced discovery of one of the world’s largest oilfields in the deep water off Cuba. It is what oil geologists call a ‘Super-giant’ field. Estimates are that the Cuban field contains as much as 20 billion barrels of oil, making it the twelfth Super-giant oilfield discovered since 1996. The discovery also likely makes Cuba a new high-priority target for Pentagon destabilization and other nasty operations.

No doubt to the dismay of Washington, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev flew to Havana one month after the Cuban giant oil find to sign an agreement with acting-President Raul Castro for Russian oil companies to explore and develop Cuban oil.

Medvedev’s Russia-Cuba oil agreements came only a week after the visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao to meet the recuperating Fidel Castro and his brother Raul. The Chinese President signed an agreement to modernize Cuban ports and discussed Chinese purchase of Cuban raw materials. No doubt the mammoth new Cuban oil discovery was high on the Chinese agenda with Cuba.”

(Could competition be a motive to move quickly on this?)

“The remarkable geography of Haiti and Cuba and the discovery of world-class oil reserves in the waters off Cuba lend credence to anecdotal accounts of major oil discoveries in several parts of Haitian territory. It also could explain why two Bush Presidents and now special UN Haiti Envoy Bill Clinton have made Haiti such a priority. As well, it could explain why Washington and its NGO’s moved so quickly to remove– twice– the democratically elected President Aristide, whose economic program for Haiti included, among other items, proposals for developing Haitian natural resources for the benefit of the Haitian people.”

“In an interview with a Santo Domingo online paper, Leopoldo Espaillat Nanita, former head of the Dominican Petroleum Refinery (REFIDOMSA) stated, “there is a multinational conspiracy to illegally take the mineral resources of the Haitian people.” Haiti’s minerals include gold, the valuable strategic metal iridium and oil, apparently lots of it.”

” . . . when Aristide was President — up until his US-backed ouster during the Bush era in 2004 — he had developed and published in book form his national development plans. These plans included, for the first time, a detailed list of known sites where the resources of Haiti were located. The publication of the plan sparked a national debate over Haitian radio and in the media about the future of the country. Aristide’s plan was to implement a public-private partnership to ensure that the development of Haiti’s oil, gold and other valuable resources would benefit the national economy and the broader population, and not merely the five Haitian oligarchic families and their US backers, the so-called Chimeres or gangsters.

Since the ouster of Aristide in 2004, Haiti has been an occupied country, with a dubiously-elected President, Rene Preval, a controversial follower of IMF privatization mandates and reportedly tied to the Chimeres or Haitian oligarchs who backed the removal of Aristide. Notably, the US State Department refuses to permit the return of Aristide from South African exile.

Now, in the wake of the devastating earthquake of January 12, the United States military has taken control of Haiti’s four airports and presently has some 20,000 troops in the country. Journalists and international aid organizations have accused the US military of being more concerned with imposing military control, which it prefers  to call “security,” than with bringing urgently needed water, food and medicine from the airport sites to the population.

A US military occupation of Haiti under the guise of earthquake disaster ‘relief’ would give Washington and private business interests tied to it a geopolitical prize of the first order.”

Why Afghanistan?

American Empire

Here is something to consider, about Obamacare (these provisions were in the prior plan, and I don’t see any reason they would not also be in this plan–no one seemed to have a problem with them):

  • This MANDATORY health care plan will involve every man, woman, and child in the US.
  • All of the personal, financial, and medical information for every man, woman, and child in the US can be kept in a file in this one system.
  • This system gives the government 24/7  access to your bank accounts.
  • Our friendly IRS will be responsible for all of this.
  • A national healthcare ID card will be required.

Here are some of MY OPINIONS, based on those facts:

  • It would be easy to monitor who had received vaccinations, and who had refused.
  • It would be simple to institute mandatory vaccinations.
  • It would be simple to require contraceptive injections for certain populations or individuals.
  • It would be simple to require any type of medication for anyone, as deemed necessary (Such as meds. for people who are diagnosed as schizophrenic, bipolar, psychotic, etc.; are obese, have high cholesterol, etc.)
  • It would be simple to calculate an individual’s ‘net worth to society’.
  • It would be very simple to revalue the currency.
  • We could quickly go to a cashless society.
  • Banks (except for a ‘National Bank’) could be eliminated.
  • You could be locked out of the financial system by opting out of the healthcare plan.
  • With all your personal  information in the system, every payment from the government (Social Security, SSI, welfare, foodstamps, tax refunds, etc.) could be routed through this system and direct deposited into your bank account.
  • With all your personal  information in the system, every payment due to the government (many mortgages, student loans, taxes, etc.) could be directly debited from your bank account.
  • If desired, your wages could be instantly garnished, your accounts could be easily frozen.
  • Legal judgments against you could be set up on automatic payment plans, without needing your consent.
  • Child support and alimony could automatically be transferred between parties, according to court orders.
  • If you won a case against someone in court, whatever they owe you could be set up to transfer to you automatically, according to whatever payment plan the court decided.
  • If you declared bankruptcy, the court could have payments made to your creditors automatically.
  • More personal information (DNA samples, eye scans, fingerprints) could, at some point, be a mandatory part of the plan.
  • The National Healthcare ID Card could become required for all financial transactions.
  • Until Radio Frequency chips were included in the cards, they could be used as a passcard in order to enter any kind of a business or government building, at tollbooths, when boarding airplanes, etc. thus ensuring our whereabouts were known most of the time.

SELLING POINTS THEY WOULD PROBABLY USE

Improved Health

  • Everyone would have access to healthcare.
  • Outbreaks of everything from food poisoning to plagues could be identified and tracked, and their origins determined.
  • If an outbreak began, it would be easier to determine who had been exposed,  and to quarantine all who are at risk of having been exposed.
  • Outbreaks could be prevented by enforcing mandatory vaccinations.
  • Abortions could be prevented by enforcing mandatory birth control until a certain age.

Efficiency and Savings

  • Financial, and other, transactions could be much more efficient if all of the information on each of us was in one location.
  • Your taxes could automatically be deducted from each paycheck and transaction, and eventually eliminate the need to file at the end of the year.
  • Businesses would save money by not having to deal with collecting sales tax or managing ‘payroll taxes’.
  • Welfare, foodstamps, etc. could be automatically and efficiently calculated, adjusted, and deposited.

A Fairer System

  • ‘The wealthy’ couldn’t hide assets anymore.
  • ‘Tax cheats’ couldn’t evade paying taxes.
  • It could eliminate welfare fraud.
  • No one could evade state tax by purchasing via the internet.
  • Financial losses (to the government, to businesses, etc.) could be greatly minimized because, once in place, payment plans could be adjusted (if necessary) during periods of economic hardship, etc. but debts would remain ‘on the books’ until every last penny was paid.
  • Stops could be put in place to prevent a person from spending or borrowing beyond their means, based on their financial history, and current income and obligations.
  • Priorities could be set on a person’s obligations so that payments were always deducted before any funds were made available to them.
  • ‘Deadbeat Dads’ could be stopped in their tracks by deducting child support from their paychecks and transferring it to the custodial parent–this would decrease the number of single parents and children that live in poverty.

Safety

  • With enough personal data (DNA, eye scans, fingerprints) included in the system, identity theft could be virtually eliminated.
  • It could greatly reduce crime.
  • It would be easy to monitor the whereabouts of criminals and catch perpetrators.
  • It would make illegal sales and purchases very difficult, and they would be easy to prosecute because every transaction would be recorded.
  • It would decrease theft, because it would be hard to resell the stolen items.
  • It would reduce robbery, and its associated violence, because cash could be eliminated.
  • It would be relatively simple to solve crimes, once everyone’s DNA, fingerprints, etc. were in the system.  (Even if an individual had managed to avoid that, it would be possible to narrow down their identity based on the similarity of their DNA to family members that were in the database.)

So, basically, my feeling is that the Healthcare Plan is a ‘Trojan Horse’ and a backdoor way of instituting a new system that is unconstitutional, and that many people would otherwise resist.

I know what sort of evil the Bible says that a system like this will enable.  It basically puts in place a vehicle for satan to come into power over all the governments and people of the Earth, and to have authority over everyone–and it is an awful, fearsome, brutal, stifling way in which he will rule.

Some people may think this is an exaggeration, that this system could not spread to the whole world.  I can’t predict the exact manner in which that would take place, or if it even would, but I do know that the American Empire is spread out over the entire planet.  Certainly not everyone is subject to us, but we have a significant entanglement with, and leverage over, many different countries and peoples.

We have sufficient bio warfare capabilities, for example, that we could covertly unleash a worldwide plague, and happen to be the only ones that were able to develop an antidote.  In that kind of a crisis, it would be easy to implement some form of a healthcare/tracking system in countries that we chose to help.

Who knows.  These are thoughts and opinions I have based on the basic facts stated above:

  • This MANDATORY health care plan will involve every man, woman, and child in the US.
  • All of the personal, financial, and medical information for every man, woman, and child in the US can be kept in a file in this one system.
  • This system gives the government 24/7  access to your bank accounts.
  • Our friendly IRS will be responsible for all of this.
  • A national healthcare ID card will be required.

Some people will see these possibilities as wonderful–others of us will see this kind of system as nightmarish and oppressive. These are just my opinions.  I could be all wrong.  I hope so.

And, as you can see, there are many compelling reasons to put a system like this in place.  Do we have a good reason for resisting?  I know it is unconstitutional–I believe that is a very important reason.  The opposition’s main rebuttal is that The Constitution was meant to bend and flow with time and circumstances.  (I disagree).  But, eventually it may not come down to a question of what our founders intended–but of what the majority want now.

How do we answer these selling points without sounding hopelessly steeped in superstition, fear and paranoia?  We are talking about things that can happen– but they’ll argue that it’s not inevitable that they will happen.  (Because of our faith in God and the accuracy of His Word, we know these things WILL eventually happen).

We are opposing people that believe the ends justify the means.  And it looks like the possible ends could solve an awful lot of problems–problems that are concrete and exist today, versus later events that they question, because they are based in the prophecies of a God they neither serve nor believe in.  I can understand why they would be so frustrated with our opposition.

Unquestionably, we are in a difficult position.  We know what God has told us things will be like later–and it will be possible because of a system they are putting in place today.  But, the only grounds we have for fighting it, that our opponents might consider rational, is that the way it is being put in place is unconstitutional.  Can we even say, with certainty, that God is telling us to fight it?

I don’t have the answers.  These are things I’m wrestling with.  What do we do?  Do we continue to fight it?  Or do we decide that if most Americans want this new Amerika, then that is their choice?  Do we leave, and find a home elsewhere, that better agrees with our beliefs?

If we stay, will we change anything by fighting? (We do know that the whole world will eventually end up with this kind of a system–but will it be because nothing we did could change it–or because we left and allowed it to happen? I think, at best, we can buy some time, but I believe we could buy 20 years at most.)

As Americans, it is our duty to fight this hijacking of our country–if we wish to continue to have it for our children, as it was originally founded.  But, if we find that we truly are in the minority–then do we have the right to impose our view of things on everyone else?

As Christians, we are to be good stewards, and to be responsible and actively involved in our communities and in our country–but are we to stay here and continue fighting, or should we go in peace?

I have believed that we should fight for America–especially since our government has basically been hijacked, and things that are being done are against the will of the people–but I’m no longer sure.  I’m beginning to doubt that enough of us have the will to fight–that some want this new Amerika, some don’t care, and some care but won’t expend any effort to join the fight.

Is taking back America something that you should be willing to fight for–to the death?  And if you believe so–why?  Is it patriotism that requires it, pride and anger over injustice, or the will of God for American Christians?

As Christians, what should our priorities be?  I believe:

  1. God
  2. Family
  3. Church
  4. Community/Country

I think each of us really needs to look to God for wisdom.  The door is still open, for those who wish to leave America in peace.  But I believe the door will close, and many of those who remain will be imprisoned or die for their resistance.

I believe that those who stay will either

  • yield and become part of the new ungodly Amerika (and be pressured further from God each day) or
  • stay, and live in peace as much as they can, and concentrate on evangelism (as a missionary in a foreign country) or
  • stay and fight to regain America–and pay a very high price (Will they win back America?  I don’t know.)

It is time to really seek God for wisdom, and His will in your life.  He has a plan for each of us, a plan for our families–and a plan for America.

Is America under God’s judgment?  If so, perhaps He is calling you to leave, so that you will not suffer her punishment.  If He is judging America, then would our efforts to win her back be in contradiction to His will?  Would we have any hope of success? If America is to be won back, it will definitely require God’s involvement to happen.

On the contrary, if it is God’s will for us to win America back, it doesn’t take a majority. Look back to the story of Gideon: God sent many of the fighters back home, and used just a small group of men to defeat a huge army–because He didn’t want them taking the credit for the victory.  He wanted them to realize that He had fought the battle on their behalf.

I don’t have the answers.  We each need to seek God for His will for us.  Some of us He may call to leave, some to stay and evangelize, and others to stay and resist.

And for those who decide to stay and fight–is it God’s will that your family should also stay, or does He wish to move them to a place of safety?  I do believe that your responsibility to care for and protect your family comes ahead of your responsibility to your country.  Do you have a right to endanger them because of your conviction that you should stay and fight? Even if that is God’s will for you, it may not be His will for them.

Let it be His will that decides your course–not fear, not guilt, not pressure from others.

Winston Churchill’s challenge to England’s citizens:

“If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed;

if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly;

you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival.

There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

If we wake up and repent, and give our all to pushing back the forces of evil–we may yet have a chance.  But the curtain is falling and time is running out!

Since we have a president who is hell-bent on imposing his agenda on the American people, against the will of more than half of them, I think it is important to get a better understanding of the man.  Hopefully, knowing what ‘makes him tick’ will counter some of the shock and discouragement we face, as he continues to battle conservative Americans.

Although I am not trained in psychology or psychiatry, I am giving my opinion:

I am fully convinced that Barack Obama is a narcissist.

Hotchkiss [Hotchkiss, Sandy & Masterson, James F. Why Is It Always About You? : The Seven Deadly Sins of Narcissism (2003)]  identified what she called the seven deadly sins of narcissism:

  1. Shamelessness – Shame is the feeling that lurks beneath all unhealthy narcissism, and the inability to process shame in healthy ways.
  2. Magical thinking – Narcissists see themselves as perfect using distortion and illusion known as magical thinking. They also use projection to dump shame onto others.
  3. Arrogance – A narcissist who is feeling deflated may reinflate by diminishing, debasing, or degrading somebody else.
  4. Envy – A narcissist may secure a sense of superiority in the face of another person’s ability by using contempt to minimize the other person.
  5. Entitlement – Narcissists hold unreasonable expectations of particularly favorable treatment and automatic compliance because they consider themselves uniquely special. Any failure to comply will be considered an attack on their superiority and the perpetrator is considered to be an “awkward” or “difficult” person. Defiance of their will is a narcissistic injury that can trigger narcissistic rage.
  6. Exploitation – can take many forms but always involves the using of others without regards for their feelings or interests. Often the other is in a subservient position where resistance would be difficult or even impossible. Sometimes the subservience is not so much real as assumed.
  7. Bad Boundaries – narcissists do not recognize that they have boundaries and that others are separate and are not extensions of themselves. Others either exist to meet their needs or may as well not exist at all. Those who provide narcissistic supply to the narcissist will be treated as if they are part of the narcissist and be expected to live up to those expectations. In the mind of a narcissist, there is no boundary between self and other.

(from Wikipedia: ‘Narcissism’)

“Narcissism can be a considered a self-perceived form of perfectionism. Narcissists often are pseudo-perfectionists and require being the center of attention and create situations where they will receive attention.[6] This attempt at being perfect is cohesive with the grandiose self-image that the narcissist has of him-/herself. If a perceived state of perfection isn’t reached it can lead to guilt, shame, anger or anxiety because he/she believes that he/she will lose the imagined love and admiration from other people if he/she isn’t perfect.[7]”

(from Wikipedia: ‘Narcissistic Rage’)

I don’t think one has to look too deeply at Obama’s childhood to find possible reasons for a boy to feel intense shame: Biracial, absent father, dark skinned but raised by whites, etc..   I think a well-meaning person, who dearly loved this little boy, may have attempted to counter his shame by unwittingly training him to think as a narcissist thinks: overcompensating on building his self-esteem, and actively putting the blame on others.

But he is not alone.  He is just a forerunner of a generation of children with similar stories, raised in a similar way:  Absent fathers, self-absorbed or over-compensating mothers, educational philosophies that overcompensated in building kids’ self-esteem, etc.  Consequently, we have raised a generation  that will prove to have an inordinate number of narcissists and sociopaths, and with most of them having a profound sense of entitlement and an over-inflated sense of their own importance (think ‘divas’ and ‘goddesses’).   Being the forerunner of this generation, it is no wonder that Obama’s message resonated with them.

(Any anger you sense from me is directed towards those who deprived these kids of truth and the ability for honest self-examination.)

Anyhow . . . although I think all of the traits are there, ‘arrogance’ stands out (there was a lot of diminishing, debasing, and degrading of the opposition by Obama, during the healthcare bill fiasco, as his approval numbers kept dropping), as does ‘exploitation’ (as he seems oblivious to the feelings and interests of a large majority of Americans, who oppose the healthcare bill).

But most of all, ‘entitlement’ seems to take center stage:

“Narcissists hold unreasonable expectations of particularly favorable treatment and automatic compliance because they consider themselves uniquely special. Any failure to comply will be considered an attack on their superiority and the perpetrator is considered to be an “awkward” or “difficult” person. Defiance of their will is a narcissistic injury that can trigger narcissistic rage.”

Within minutes of passing the bill, lawsuits were filed to challenge it’s constitutionality.  Then, yesterday, a supreme court justice decided it would be a good time to retire.  Here is my conjecture:

  • I think Obama ‘had a little talk’ with the justice, convincing him that now would be a good time to go.
  • I think whoever Obama appoints is going to be intended as a punishment to his opponents.
  • And, although he looks unfazed, Obama is seething on the inside.

Filing a challenge to his healthcare bill displays defiance, rather than compliance, which he sees as an attack on his authority and superiority, and it may very well trigger narcissistic rage.  (I was pretty confident we’d be seeing it sooner or later–and I think there is a rough road ahead for conservatives, because I expect him to escalate his battle.)  I am curious as to whether his rage will be open and evident, or passive-aggressive.

Apparently there are different types of narcissism, I believe this one fits him very well:

Aggressive narcissism

  • Glibness/superficial charm
  • Grandiose sense of self-worth
  • Pathological lying
  • Cunning/manipulative
  • Lack of remorse or guilt
  • Shallow affect
  • Callous/lack of empathy
  • Failure to accept responsibility for own actions.

(from Wikipedia: ‘Narcissism’)

Here is an explanation of ‘narcissistic rage’:

According to Kohut,[1] rages are a result of the shame at being faced with failure. Narcissistic rage is the uncontrollable and unexpected anger that results from a narcissistic injury. Narcissistic injury is a threat to a narcissist’s self-esteem or worth. Rage comes in many forms, but all pertain to the same important thing, revenge.

Narcissistic rages are based on fear and will endure even after the threat is gone.[5] To the narcissist, the rage is directed towards the person that they feel has slighted them; to other people, the rage is incoherent and unjust. This rage impairs their cognition, therefore impairing their judgment. During the rage they are prone to shouting, fact distortion and making groundless accusations. It is believed that narcissists have two layers of rage. The first layer of rage can be thought of as a constant anger (towards someone else), and the second layer being a self-aimed wrath. Two specific identified forms of narcissistic rage are explosive and passive-aggressive.

The explosive form being an obvious anger, for example, damaging property (or people) and being verbally abusive. The passive-aggressive sort might be sulking or giving their target the silent treatment. They can become enraged to the point of being homicidal especially if he/she has the need to seek revenge.[6] Narcissistic rage is usually short-term, but can provoke problems with those towards whom the anger is targeted.

(from Wikipedia: ‘Narcissistic Rage’)

We are all flawed.  It would be unreasonable to expect our leaders to be perfect.  But some flaws demand that we be especially watchful and vigilant.  If Obama is who I think he is, he could become a very dangerous man if he doesn’t get his way.  The next time we win a battle with him, consider that, and don’t cheer quite so loudly.

Update 7/12/10

another interesting post about ‘People of the Lie’

There seems to me to be some kind of a spiritual law, that once you begin doing something voluntarily, it will eventually become mandatory–either by legislation, necessity or addiction.

It was great when a woman could go to work and the family could have some extra things–now it is a virtual necessity.  How many young women wish they had the opportunity to be stay-at-home moms?

How many smokers went for months, after they first began smoking, having only four cigarettes a day–until they got confident in believing they weren’t hooked, and then dropped their vigilance–only to have some stressful event push them over the line and, before they knew what had happened, they were smoking a pack a day?

Could it be that when we have the audacity to step beyond societal norms, eventually the shock wears off and it becomes ‘the new normal’? Society seems to have a kind of inertia, that a lot of energy is required to change anything–I guess that’s what they call the ‘status quo’ and people’s ‘comfort zone’.  Once things change, they rarely change back–at least not anytime soon.   I think the radicals that have hijacked America are banking on that–that the American people won’t have the energy, or the resolve, to put forth the  effort to overturn what they do, but will simply grow used to the ‘new normal’.  Maybe this is why so much was done so early in Obama’s term.

Obviously another strategy was used too: overwhelming the system–only in this case, it was overwhelming the people (mentally & emotionally) by throwing so many things at them in rapid succession.

Change, in and of itself, is stress provoking, but then they have ratcheted things up by throwing out accusations that are intended to provoke a strong emotional reaction and to divide people that otherwise might be able to work together to find a more reasonable common ground (than the extreme agenda they are determined to force upon us).

Even so, I don’t think they have been getting the degree of reaction that they are seeking–and I have gained a new sense of respect for the American people, when I see how they are (by and large) not taking the bait.  So, they have begun to resort to the kind of tactics used by a bratty kid sister:

  • do something and blame it on the other
  • provoke the other to do something and then run and tattle

You see, with all the bills they have passed, they are itching for the final step:  plug it in and light it up!  But, in order to ‘light up’ the new government they’ve created, they need a crisis.  If they can’t provoke enough civil unrest, perhaps they can open the door sufficiently to invite an attack from outside our borders.  Either way, they will keep poking and prodding until something finally happens, and then they will institute martial law.  After that, things will never be the same again.

I hope it doesn’t happen.  I hope we have time to make a difference at the polls in November, and in 2012–but don’t you think they’ll do all they can to see that that never happens?  You saw how much effort was put into ‘passing’ the healthcare agenda–do you think they’ll simply play by the rules and wait to see what happens with the election?  NO!!  These are pro-active people . . . who don’t play by the rules.  They are driven, and they are determined.

I hope we get to see another election, but November is a long ways off, and I won’t be surprised if we don’t.
