Continued from: This Is Where I Drew The Line . . . Until Yesterday (Part 1)

I have long suspected that The Mark Of The Beast may be more than a tattoo.  The following are my personal opinions.

I don’t want to mislead anyone.  I don’t know what The Mark will be.  I don’t want anything I say to cause you to form a belief as to what it will (or won’t) be, other than the explanation the Bible gives.

As I stated in a previous post,

“My opinion is  ‘not being able to buy or sell without The Mark’  isn’t indicating the purpose of  The Mark, but is telling us what the punishment is for those who are in opposition to satan’s kingdom (as evidenced by their refusing to take the mark of membership)”

but I have believed it has capabilities of some sort, that can be triggered remotely.  When evil forces are ruling the world, and every single one of their followers have their mark applied to their body–is it not likely they would make the most of that opportunity?

Revelation tells us that

“He (the second beast: “he had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon”) ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast (The Beast empire) who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.  He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship (it) the image to be killed.  He also forced everyone . . . to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead . . . ” (emphases mine)

There are any number of ways that ’caused to be killed’ could be interpreted, but my opinion is that death can automatically be remotely triggered by the image itself.  Although it doesn’t say here that The Mark can cause anyone to be killed, it does infer that the technology has advanced to that stage, because the image of  The (first) Beast is given breath/animated/given ‘life’–which I presume is electrical and computerized.  This electrified image is able to speak and can cause all who do not worship it to be killed.

I also believe that the image has some means of monitoring who is actually worshiping, by its definition of worship (bowing? laying in front of it? are there set times every day?).

(Let that be a word to those of you who think that you can take The Mark, but not worship The Beast, and you won’t incur God’s wrath.  Not only is that not true, but I am sure there will be an effective way for people to be monitored as to whether or not they really are worshiping, and to punish those who don’t.)

As stated in Part 1, The Mark may have the ability to penetrate the brain:

“Deisseroth and Boyden have discovered or engineered many other opsins that allow neurons to be manipulated in different ways, including neural silencers.”  (emphases mine)

Would I be wrong to interpret ‘neural silencers’ as paralyzers?  Paralyzers of movement?  Maybe paralyzers of thought and perception as well?

The Mark could potentially have many other capabilities too.  Here are just some of them:

  • It is possible to stop the heart with an electrical pulse.
  • Location, as we all know, can be tracked with GPS.
  • All of one’s personal info can be stored on a chip.  (Could they ‘cease to exist’ if the government chose to ‘erase’ them?)
  • Mind control (can’t believe I’m actually saying it), as explained in Part 1.
  • Thought reading and thought control?  Causing voices inside one’s head? Visual hallucinations?  I have heard that advances are being made here too.

Again, these are just my opinions and speculations, in case you are interested in such things too.
