It seems, that since Obama took office, people are really angry. I can understand why. But, the disturbing thing is that a lot of the people who voted for him are angry too and, rather than put the blame where it should be, they prefer to find someone else they can lash out at. Suddenly it’s ‘Anti-American’, ‘radical’, ‘terrorist’, ‘brainwashed’, ‘cult mentality’ or ‘holding back progress’ to disagree with the party in power. Give me a break!

It seems like the left is just full of hate and animosity these days. People we used to get along with are now letting what they’ve been holding inside spill over, and boy is it ugly! Sure, I expect people will disagree-vehemently in some cases-with what I post. Oh well. But, I’m talking about people’s attitudes in general these days-not anyone I’ve had a run in with.

For those of you who sense a coldness and distance from family and friends (even though you may still be keeping your political opinions to yourself), I’m going to go ahead and post hate mail and rants from disgruntled readers. If a comment is no more than name calling and insults I probably won’t bother to respond–and if it is riddled with obscenities I MAY ‘bleep them out’, or I may just not post it.

(Of course, if someone wants links, documentation or clarification of what I’ve written, I’ll be more than happy to provide it. Feel free to use my ‘Questions?’ page to post your comments or requests.)

Here’s the reason I’m going to post these comments: like I was saying, some of you may be getting the cold shoulder from family or friends. I suspect it’s because you are Christian, conservative, and or Republican. They may not tell you how they really feel about you, to your face. But, some people think it’s perfectly fine to get it off their chest on someone else’s blog site. Whatever. Bring it on.

These posts will show how the minds of non-Christians have been blinded by Satan, and what is in their hearts these days, towards God, His truth, and His people. Let’s see how they really feel!

It seems that people have started deciding whether they love the things God stands for, or whether they hate them. Many people are ‘getting off the fence’ on one side or the other. I’m not here to persuade you about which side to choose,

(let him who is doing good continue to do good, and let him who does evil continue to do evil–if that’s what they choose.)

it makes no difference to me. I don’t get Brownie points for your conversion. Which side you choose is between you and God. I’m just a messenger.

My prayer is that those who are sick of the hate-filled, depraved culture around us, who are longing in their heart for goodness, peace and righteousness, will find the courage to reach out their hand to God, in faith. The Bible says:

‘The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ (Acts 17:24-28)

Before the hate mail–a few more words, from God, to put things in perspective. (You must be aware of the times we are living in!!)

“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God–having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them . . . (they are) always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.” (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

Are any of these characterizations not relevant today?! And,

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.” (1 John1-6)

(Just reading the following comments can be difficult. It is painful, even for a few minutes, to ‘get inside the head’ of the writer by reading their comments. But, as the saying goes: ‘but for the grace of God, there go I’. I cannot even begin to imagine how black and vile my heart would be by now, if I had not found God when I did.)

Here are two comments from Mike who, although he hates my blog, can’t seem to stay away!

“This Website is a dangerous, full of lies and ridiculous scare tactics. Hopefully most readers have the intelligence and education to see through this nonsense.”

“If you believe in this ridiculous ancient mythology, I can only feel sorry for you. No… not only you, also for the entire world and all the pain and suffering that delusions of life being predetermined by a supernatural entity has caused. Fortunately most of the world no longer buys into these salvation cults or their brainwashing tactics. It’s obvious after reading the above just how dangerous blind devotion and the lack of common sense and reason can be, the author is basically saying that the bill that will ensure the health of our nation, that has been very long overdue, and which because we have had to go without, millions of Americans (including myself) have had to suffer with conditions that could have easily been remedied, that very bill is related to some sort of evil monster? Seriously? If anyone is working toward evil it’s this guy, whether he’s doing it intentionally or not, I cannot say. I wouldn’t mind so much of crazy, sociopathic, fear mongers such as this fellow were kept contained, but they insist on spreading this poison to others, and although their efforts are mostly ineffective, I still can’t help but find people like this morbid and disturbing.”

(Hey–where’s the ‘tolerance’ that I so often hear preached by the ‘intelligent and educated’?)

Thankfully, God doesn’t judge us by our intelligence or our education–but rather, by our hearts.

No cult affiliations here. Just one hermit who pretty much stays home and has a blog that about 15 people read. It’s just me and God on this end. I think I’m pretty much contained.

I really am sorry that Mike has health problems that have gone untreated for lack of money. (This is due to what I’ve talked about before–the greed that is eventually going to rob us of the privilege of having a capitalistic, free-enterprise economy.) The whole thing makes me really mad! It’s a terrible injustice. I am SO grateful, that when God’s kingdom is established here on Earth, NO ONE will have to do without the necessities of life for lack of money!!

And, as far as lack of health care, ‘been there, done that, for many years’.  I agree, our healthcare system DOES need an overhaul–but this bill goes too far, delving into areas that violate our constitutional rights.

Just be honest and keep those provisions out of the bill, and you’ll have almost the whole country behind the plan! What’s the big deal anyhow–unless you really DO have some other agenda?

Crazy? Sociopathic? Fear-mongerer? That’s it! If you’re going to call me names I’ll . . . I’ll . . . I’ll just have to put a poll in here.

Well, it was about time someone else had something nasty to say!!

You’re an idiot. The bible can be used in and out of so many different contexts. Hitler used the bible in defense for the holocaust. The devil himself can use the bible to his need. Who are you to judge anyone else? You need to focus on your damn self.

I guess my post hit a little too close to home for Matt . . .
