Are you ‘Rapture ready’?  If you are an American Christian–most likely not.

I think most Christians have heard about the false prophet, Harold Camping, whose latest prediction for ‘The Rapture’ and judgment day did not happen.  But, rather than laughing at those who set dates, and who have probably put their lives in order, you should take inventory of yourself.  After you hear what I have to say, I believe you will thank God that judgment day was NOT May 21st!

The American Church is not ready for a ‘Rapture’!  American Christians behave themselves like the people around them–and in America, you really don’t want to behave like the people around you, trust me.

America has become a nation of  spiritually filthy, idolatrous, greedy people.  Sometimes it’s hard to see it from ‘down here’ among them–after all, we were all made from the same ‘dust’.

We tend to see ourselves in the context of the people around us, or the people on TV.  We probably look pretty good, compared to a lot of people–but God sees things very differently from ‘up there’.

Thankfully, God has given us the Bible, so that we can examine things ‘down here’,  according to His standards.  The standards God judges us by are holiness . . . perfection . . . blamelessness . . . and purity.

When Jesus returns, these are the people who the angels will gather to Him:

  • those who are spotless
  • those who have been purified
  • those who have been refined
  • those who are blameless
  • those who are  holy
  • those who are without stain, wrinkle, or any other blemish

As the Scriptures say:

‘Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked . . .’  Daniel 12: 10

‘So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.’ 2 Peter 3: 14

‘Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.’ Daniel 11: 35

. . .  Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.’  Ephesians 5: 25-27

‘ So far, so good” you say?  ‘I think I’m doing alright.’  Hmmm.  Let’s look a little closer.  Lets use the ‘magnifying glass’ of Scriptures that talk about sin.  But first, lets be clear:  If there is willful, deliberate sin in your life, which you have not repented of–Christ’s blood is not covering it.  The only way to apply the blood of Christ to your sin is to confess and repent!

‘If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?  For we know [serve] him who said,  “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”  and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”

It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.‘  Hebrews 10: 26-31

This passage is specifically speaking to Christians.  The God of the Old Testament, who judged His people, is the same God of the New Testament, who made a way of mercy.  But don’t think you are going to fool Him.  If you want to live outside of His covenant of mercy, then you will pay for your own sins.  He will judge everyone who lives outside His covenant of mercy.

If your pastor tries to explain this passage away–woe to him!!

When you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, you made a covenant with God (sealed with His blood) to live a life of holiness–to be set apart from the world.  If you do not fulfill your part of the covenant towards Him, He is not under obligation to fulfill His part towards you (protection, provision, and eternal life).

In other words, if you are no longer living a life of holiness, set apart from the world, then you have broken the covenant of His mercy.  It is cancelled . . . null and void . . . powerless to save you.  You have, in effect, divorced God.  If that is the case, you need to renew your covenant with Him!  That begins with confessing your sins and repenting.

‘ . . . “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” ‘  2 Timothy 2: 19

‘No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.’  1 John 3:6

The whole doctrine of ‘The Rapture’ is that Jesus will return for His people–those who are in covenant with Him.  If you have broken that covenant, then you are no longer in covenant with Him–you are no longer His.  (The only thing that can separate you from God is your willful sin. )

Which brings us to another topic that pastors seem to avoid these days:  sin.  (Woe to him who is politically correct, for he denies the truth.)  Here is a [partial] list of things that the Bible specifically says will keep you from inheriting the kingdom of God.

Here are several passages in Scripture to back up what I’m saying:

‘Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived:  Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. ‘ 1 Corinthians 6: 9-10

‘But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.’ Revelation 21: 8

‘Outside are the dogs [male prostitutes], those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood [those who hate truth and liars].’ Revelation 22:1 5

You may notice, in these passages, that several other things are mentioned:

  • being cowardly
  • being unbelieving
  • hating truth

These are not sins, per se–but they will cause you not to endure to the end.  And it is imperative, that we endure  . . . to the end.

‘Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering.  Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.  You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.  You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while,

“He who is coming will come and will not delay.

But my righteous one will live by faith.

And if he shrinks back,

I will not be pleased with him.”

But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.’    Hebrews 10: 32-39

‘ . . . if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us . . . ‘  2 Timothy 2: 12

Speaking of end-time Christians, Revelation says:

‘This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.’  Revelation 13: 10

‘This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.’  Revelation 14:12

It is not enough just to believe, not enough to endure for a while–we must endure to the end!  Here are Jesus warnings to us, concerning the last days:

‘All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.’  Matthew 10: 22

‘Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.’  Matthew 24: 12-13

‘All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.’  Mark 13: 13

If you are on a basketball team, and the team makes it to the championships, and you are in the last quarter of the last game . . . and you quit . . . you cannot say you won, when the team wins the championships!  You will not share in the trophy, or the victory celebration.  You will be kicking yourself because you did not endure to the end.  All you did, up to the point when you quit, counts for nothing!  You are not a winner!

Conversely, if you are injured at the beginning of the season, and you have to spend the majority of the season on the bench–you are still a winner at the end . . . because you did not quit!  Even if you’re injured, you still have to show up for practices, you still have to wear your uniform, and be present at the games.

Injured or not, if you simply stop participating and doing what is required of you, you will no longer be on the team.  So it is with Christianity.  It requires your participation, and your endurance . . . to the end.

But here is what is going to be the undoing of many people in these last days.

‘They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.’

2 Thessalonians 2: 10-12

The only remedy for this is to hate wickedness and develop a love for the truth (pray too, that God will grant you a love of the truth).

If you do not fight wickedness in your own life, if you don’t turn away from sin . . . you will not love truth . . . because truth exposes sin.  In order to have victory over sin, you must love truth.

‘This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. ‘  John 3: 19-20

‘Walking in the light

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.  If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all  sin.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.’  1 John 1: 5-10

For Christians Who Are Struggling Spiritually

When Is The Rapture?

It’s Not Going To Happen The Way You Expect

Advertisements

I am amazed, that people who have been Christians for decades, and who have been watching for the signs of end-times prophetic fulfillment are now totally missing them.  This is tragic . . . watching for decades for signs of The Antichrist, then falling asleep as they begin to happen!

Here is why I think that is happening:  Christians have assumed that the ‘great deception’ will be some elaborate scheme to hide the true motives of The Antichrist and make him look good, rather than evil.  Instead, what I see happening is that we are being deceived to believe that evil is good (and good is evil), so that we will believe an openly evil Antichrist . . . is good.

These days, no one is attempting to hide their anti-Christian behaviors.  (Indeed, many antichrists are among us–too many to hide.)  And the Church has gone right along with the crowd, to the point where it has completely lost its discernment.

‘Christians’ now live like the world and believe like the world. The Church did not take seriously the admonitions to ‘come out and be separate’ and ‘touch no unclean thing’.  Instead, ‘Christians’ rationalized that they were living like the world to reach the world.  In fact, the very opposite happened.  ‘Bad company corrupt[ed] good character’, and all but a remnant of the Church is now immersed in the ‘great deception’.

To complete the great deception, everything has been redefined!

  • ‘God’ has been redefined as Allah, or anyone else you want to pray to
  • ‘Jesus’ has been redefined as a social activist
  • ‘Salvation’ is now the new name for a community experience of utopia
  • ‘Christianity’ now includes all religions, because there are said to be many roads to ‘God’
  • ‘Love’ has been redefined as tolerance

This has deceived people into believing that opposing God is:

  • Saying Allah is not God
  • Believing in private property rather than communism
  • Teaching that salvation is individual, necessary, and obtainable only through Jesus Christ
  • Calling sin for what it is

But the biggest irony of all is that this creeping paradigm shift will put ‘Christians’, who accept these new definitions, in the position of actually persecuting true, Bible-based, Fundamentalist Christians!  When will their eyes be opened?  It is true that ‘there is none so blind as he who will not see’!

It is not the lost whom Satan expends his best efforts on.  A God-denying Jew or a thoroughly deceived ‘Christian’, who does his bidding, is his most coveted trophy!!

To recap–if you are a Christian who has been looking for the signs of The Antichrist:

  • The Antichrist will be apparent to those who do not become deceived by the new definitions of Christianity (in other words Christian Fundamentalists).
  • Those that will be deceived are those who accept the new, modern definition of Christianity.
  • What one considers to be  ‘Anti-christianity’ is what is in opposition to what they believe is Christianity.

So, if you have been persuaded (deceived) into accepting the new definition of Christianity, then your definition of Anti–Christianity will also be wrong.  You will be unable to recognize what truly is Anti-Christianity!

Here are some of the signs/beliefs of real ANTI-Christ/Anti-Christianity :

  • Many roads lead to God
  • Allah, or whoever else you want to pray to, is God
  • Jesus came to teach us a better way to live
  • Salvation is a community experience
  • We will all be saved, together, when we work together to fix what’s wrong with the world
  • All religions are equally valid
  • God is love and doesn’t hate
  • God doesn’t judge
  • We must not apply labels such as sin, but we must be tolerant
  • We each have our own truth
  • God is within each of us
  • We must strive to reach our full potential

Please don’t walk away from this post until you really understand what I’m saying.  You have heard the warnings about not being deceived, and about the great deception that was coming . . . what I am trying to open your eyes to is a GREAT DECEPTION that is happening, right here, right now!  Don’t let it suck you in!

There Is Wonder-Working Power In The Blood

When Is The Rapture?

As I mentioned in my last post, I was recently made aware of a possible ‘code’ or key to understanding Bible prophecy.  I purchased the book, and read a few chapters, then I switched gears and listened to some audio messages by David Meyer (Last Trumpet Newsletter).   Little did I know that I would soon be using the ‘Prophecy Code’ myself.

If I have understood correctly, from what I have read (and seen) so far:

  • the basic principle is that some words in the original Bible manuscripts, or early translations, sound like words that are relevant to us today (of course these words did not have the same meaning in the original language as the words they sound like now)
  • God inspired the use of these particular words, in the particular passages where He place them then, because He knew that they would be relevant to us in the latter days
  • These ‘key’ words serve to link prophetic passages, written in different times and by different authors, to each other
  • The ‘key words’ serve to establish a connection between other words (example: if  a ‘key word’ is in the same passage of Scripture as ‘word A’, and in another passage the ‘key’ is present with ‘word B’, then it can be assumed that ‘word A’ and ‘word B’  are to be associated with each other too.)
  • The ‘key word’ is directly associated with the passage where it is found

(This is a very simplistic definition for something which appears to have great depth, and is difficult to explain.)  Let me take you through my first experience in using the Prophecy Code.

In the first couple chapters of the book, one of the things Jeff explains about is Satan’s sin of attempting to ascend.  ‘Ascend’, in the 14th chapter of Isaiah, is translated as ‘alah’.  He maintains that ‘alah’ is the judgment that God metes out for the sin of ascension.  ‘Alah’ is the ‘key word’ in the passage, and he believes it is synonymous with ‘Allah’. (Allah is a word that is definitely relevant to us today.)

That evening, after reading a few chapters from the book, I had switched gears and listened to some sermons by David Meyer.  Coincidentally (?), David mentioned a scripture verse that stood out to him (the verse about Christ’s return that says: as lightning flashes from the east to the west . . .).  He went on to say that generally lightning comes from the west and goes to the east.  That may or may not be true, but I believe what is relevant is that something about the verse made it stand out to him.  Apparently he had looked into the verse a little further, because he then shared that ‘lightning’ was translated as baraq/barak and talked about how Barack Obama had come from the east to the west, etc.

This aroused my curiosity.  I was able to verify the translation.  Then I looked for other passages that contained this possible ‘key word’ (there are at least a half dozen passages that do).  The process is rather time intensive, so I have only been able to complete one passage so far.  Here is, more or less, the way I studied it:

  1. I read the chapter that contained the ‘key word’ and determined what was the probable beginning and end of the passage
  2. I became familiar with the passage, so as to understand it
  3. I noted any other passages or prophecies that I believed tie in with, or parallel the passage that I studied
  4. I looked for word translations of any other words or verses, within the passage, that stood out (to me)
  5. I marked the probable ‘key words’
  6. I looked for any relevance of the ‘key words’ to the verses where they were found
  7. I looked for the relevance of the ‘key words’ to the passage
  8. I noted ‘key words’, topics, etc. that are now ‘associated’

Although I only had time to look at one passage in depth, I did notice that another verse on the list was from a passage in Nahum that I have written posts about*–one that I believe God has revealed to me is an end time prophecy of America’s judgment. I find it very interesting that, unbeknownst to me, ‘baraq’ was hidden in that passage of Scripture too.

Lightning is not the only word that ‘baraq’ has been translated to.  It is also translated into other words that convey the idea of brightness (gleaming,  glittering, glistening, etc.)

Here is the passage:

Job 20: 4-29

4.   “Surely you know how it has been from of old, ever since man was placed on the earth,
5.   that the mirth of the wicked is brief, the joy of the godless lasts but a moment.
6.   Though his pride reaches to the heavens and his head touches the clouds,
7.   he will perish forever, like his own dung; those who have seen him will say, “Where is he?”
8.   Like a dream he flies away, no more to be found, banished like a vision of the night.
9.   The eye that saw him will not see him again; his place will look on him no more.
10.   His children must make amends to the poor; his own hands must give back his wealth.
11.   The youthful vigor that fills his bones will lie with him in the dust.
12.   “Though evil is sweet in his mouth and he hides it under his tongue,
13.   though he cannot bear to let it go and keeps it in his mouth,
14.   yet his food will turn sour in his stomach; it will become the venom of serpents within him.
15.   He will spit out the riches he swallowed; God will make his stomach vomit them up.
16.   He will suck the poison of serpents; the fangs of an adder will kill him.
17.   He will not enjoy the streams, the rivers flowing with honey and cream.
18.   What he toiled for he must give back uneaten; he will not enjoy the profit from his trading.
19.   For he has oppressed the poor and left them destitute; he has seized houses he did not build.
20.   “Surely he will have no respite from his craving; he cannot save himself by his treasure.
21.   Nothing is left for him to devour; his prosperity will not endure.
22.   In the midst of his plenty, distress will overtake him; the full force of misery will come upon him.
23.   When he has filled his belly, God will vent his burning anger against him and rain down his blows upon him.
24.   Though he flees from an iron weapon, a bronze-tipped arrow pierces him.
25.   He pulls it out of his back, the gleaming point out of his liver. Terrors will come over him;
26.   total darkness lies in wait for his treasures. A fire unfanned will consume him and devour what is left in his tent.
27.   The heavens will expose his guilt; the earth will rise up against him.
28.   A flood will carry off his house, washed away on the day of God’s wrath.
29.   Such is the fate God allots the wicked, the heritage appointed for them by God.”

On the surface, though there doesn’t appear to be much here, I did find several things:

VERSE 6:  “Though his pride reaches to the heavens and his head touches the clouds”

‘reaches to’  = ‘ alah’
as does ‘ascend’ in Isaiah 14:13-14

“You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven;
I will raise my throne above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. [or: of the north]
I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.”

(This is the famous passage that describes the fall of Lucifer!  Also, in the Prophecy Code book, Jeff goes into detail about the ‘alah’ judgment.)

VERSE 8: “Like a dream he flies away, no more to be found, banished like a vision of the night.”

This verse reminded me of  a passage in Nahum chapter 3, so I looked it up and found that there were words common to both:
‘flies away’ = ‘fly away’ in Nahum 3:16

“You have increased the number of your merchants till they are more than the stars of the sky, but like locusts they strip the land and then fly away

‘banished’  =  ‘fly away’ in Nahum 3:17

“Your guards are like locusts, your officials like swarms of locusts that settle in the walls on a cold day—but when the sun appears they fly away, and no one knows where.”

‘banished’  =  ‘flee away’ in Nahum 3:7

Nahum 3:7  “All who see you will flee from you and say, ‘Nineveh is in ruins—who will mourn for her?’ Where can I find anyone to comfort you?”

Interestingly, there are 3 words, that I noticed, that are present in this passage from Job, and in Nahum 3:

  1. baraq
  2. the word that translates to flies away/fly away
  3. the word that translates to banished/fly away/flee away

VERSES 24-25:  “Though he flees from an iron weapon, a bronze-tipped arrow pierces him.  He pulls it out of his back, the gleaming point out of his liver. Terrors will come over him”

‘gleaming’ = ‘baraq’

(update: ‘flees’ here translates to ‘barach’!!)

My conclusion is that the ‘key words’ in this passage are ‘alah’ and ‘baraq’ , representing the names Allah and Barack, which are certainly relevant to us in these ‘latter days’.

Interpreting  the verse that contains ‘alah’:

The evil, prideful man will be destroyed. The pride represented by the mindset of ‘ascending’ brings judgment ‘alah’ from God.  This is also spelled out literally in the passage.

But here’s a twist . . .

Interpreting the verses that contain ‘baraq’:

Baraq/Barack describes the point of the arrow (of judgment, from God) that pierces the back of the wicked (the elite).   Barack is not the object of God’s judgment in this passage, but rather is the means of God’s judgment!

Interpreting the meaning of the  ‘key words’ in the entire passage:

This is a prophecy of judgment upon the (American) elite.  They will receive the  ‘Alah judgment’ for their pride of ascending, to be as gods.  They will vanish, as a nightmare.  Barack will be the means of judgment that God uses.

It is interesting that Barack came up from ‘within the ranks’ of the elite, but will be their undoing.  He will betray them.**  How apt that the verse describes him as an arrow, that will stab in the back  those whom God is judging!

This passage in Job is also ‘linked’ (as we have seen in the examples above) to the prophecy in Nahum–God’s judgment on America.  The revelation God gave me, regarding Obama’s eventual betrayal of the American people***, was what motivated me to begin blogging.

America, the nation (just like its ‘elite’ leaders) has become proud and arrogant, wicked and deceitful.  Our sins have piled up to the heavens.  Obama will also be God’s ‘hand of judgment’ upon the American people, for our ‘national sins’.

I recently received a comment on one of my posts.  These days, I’m both cautious and suspicious of much.  (I am especially suspicious of people promoting themselves or their products!)  However, to be fair, I decided to read through the comment and I prayed for discernment, as to whether or  not to approve it.  I did decide to approve it, and have copied and pasted it to the end of this post as well.

After reading through the comment, and checking out some of the content on Jeff’s site, I felt it would be worth buying a PDF copy of his book.  (I am a real spendthrift, so that says a lot!   Thankfully, since I am such a ‘cheapskate’, it was only $5.00!)

I have to admit, I am not schooled in linguistics, nor do I have the vocabulary or experience that pertains to such things.  I am, so far, finding the book hard to follow–on a purely logical level.  In other words, a lot of the time it is ‘as clear as mud’ to me.

However, some manner of understanding is bypassing all that difficulty, and I think I am ‘getting’ what he is trying to say!  It is as if that ‘mud’ has somehow opened my eyes to an even deeper way of seeing things.

Furthermore, along those same lines, I feel like God is really revealing some specific, prophetic things to me.  Just as I have not been able to figure out how to rephrase what Jeff is trying to convey in his book, I am not able to break down how I am coming to understand the things (in prophetic passages in the Bible) that I am now understanding (as a result of the book).

My goodness, I hope my writing is not going to continue to be as hard to interpret as what I’ve said so far today . . . !

At any rate, I am publishing this [comment] as a background to how I came to the understanding of some things that I believe I will be sharing soon.  (I don’t yet know whether I will simply share what I am coming to see, or if I will be able to actually explain the process that led me to the conclusions that I will make.)  Let this post serve to ‘give credit where credit is due’–at least as far as human influence is concerned:

Thank you Jeff, for visiting my site, and for sharing what the Lord has revealed to you.

I also wanted to say, to my few faithful readers, that I have not disappeared!  I have times where much is burning in my heart to share with you–and at other times, when I am silent, there is much that I am reading, listening to, and praying about.  As long as God wills, I will always be back!

Here is Jeff’s comment:

“A islamic/Arab religion mixing with Democracy was predicted 2600 years ago in the Bible.

In 2 Thessalonians it says that “the man of lawlessness will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God and worshiped”.

In other words, he will declare himself God, but what god? And of what religion?

In Daniel 2 we have the prophecy of king Nebuchadnezzer’s vision called the “Great image”. This image consisted of five future kingdoms that would rule over Israel, beginning with Nebuchadnezzer’s Babylon.

The fifth and last kingdom, would be a kingdom that would rule in the last days, the Bible says that this kingdom would be one of both mire and metal or “iron mixed with clay”, the key word being mixed.

I believe it’s not a coincidence that this verb mixed occurs only three times throughout the bible and all three occurrence are found in Daniel 2: 40-43.

So by knowing the Aramaic and Hebrew meaning of this verb, we can understanding what form of governments the iron and clay depict, and we can know the identity of this last days religion.

What is the translation of this verb mixed? It is the word “Arab.”

Now here’s the kicker! We know that any religion outside of Christianity is a religion built by Lucifer in the spirit of antichrist. Right?

Now in Isaiah 14: 13-14 (a prophecy about Lucifer’s fall) it says:

‘You (Lucifer) said in your heart’ “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God… I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

The Hebrew word for “ascend”, as in “I will ascend to heaven… I will make myself like the Most High”. Is the word Allah.

Update 3/24/11:

After reading the entire Prophecy Code II book,  I have to say that I am not convinced of the author’s assertions.   I think there may be legitimacy to the idea that certain words are key words that can help us to decode prophecy.  But the numeric claims–I’m not so sure.  Many times his logic escaped me.

I also disagree with his claims that the ‘Eucharist’  (communion bread and wine) actually become the flesh and blood of Jesus when we consume them–and that they infer some sort of physical sustenance and protection to us.  That is a Catholic doctrine.  Catholicism is a blend of early Christianity and pagan worship.  (There are many places to find more info on that subject, it is not a subject I feel comfortable trying to teach.)

Ultimately, we are all best served by really getting to know what is in the Bible and taking it at face value.  For those who are well versed in Scripture, feel they have time, and desire to ‘decode’ prophecy–this book may offer another potential tool.  But for new believers, or those not well versed in Scripture–I think it could be potentially dangerous, and at the very least can take away time that would be better spent learning the Bible.

Time is short!  True Bible understanding is in short supply!  This is remarkable, considering that the Bible is readily available and the United States has a high literacy rate!  I cannot stress it enough–read your Bible!!  Don’t leave it to someone else to interpret it for you!  If you are a Christian, the Holy Spirit will teach you as you read the Bible!  You are in much more danger of being deceived if you take other people’s interpretations of it, than if you read the Bible yourself and pray!

Many people sacrificed or died to make sure that God’s Word was made available to the common man.  The Dark Ages were ‘dark’ because the Catholic Church taught that only priests could understand God’s word.  The people did not have Bibles!  Today Bibles are everywhere, yet virtually no one reads them–how ironic!!

Dome of the Rock shrine

Dome of the Rock shrine

The Muslim shrine called ‘The Dome of the Rock’ has an inscription, in Arabic. This inscription reveals the spirit behind Islam:

“O you People of the Book, overstep not bounds in your religion, and of God speak only the truth.  The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, is only an apostle of God, and his Word which he conveyed unto Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from him.  Believe therefore in God and his apostles, and say not Three.  It will be better for you.  God is only one God.  Far be it from his glory that he should have a son.”

It is important to understand the Islamic definition of terms here:

  • ‘People of the Book’:  Jews and Christians (people who believe in the Bible)
  • God:  Allah  (Satan, according to the Bible)
  • God’s apostles:  Muhammad, and Muslim ‘holy warriors’
  • Three:  the Holy Trinity–Father, Son and Holy Spirit

The message of the inscription is to Jews and Christians–and to Muslims who might consider turning to God.  It is a warning.  Translated:

“O you Jews and Christians, overstep not bounds in your religion, and submit to our view of whom we call God  [Allah].  The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, is lesser than Allah, and his Word which he conveyed unto Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from him.  Believe therefore in Allah and Muhammad, and don’t speak of a Trinity.  It will be better for you.  Allah is only one.  Far be it from his glory that he should have a son.”

The inscription defines who the Islamic god claims to be [God] and who he is not [the Father of Jesus the Messiah, a triune being].  Could it be any plainer that Allah is  not who the Jews, the Christians, and the Bible refer to as God?

Here is a verse worth noting, referring to The Antichrist, that will come to pass in the days ahead:

“With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.”   Daniel 11:32

I understand that some churches are now allowing Muslim congregations to share their facilities, and worship Allah in their sanctuaries.  I would assume there are only a few, but I don’t know.

If this is your church, you can pass along this two part warning to your pastor.  (He has shown a serious lack of discernment, and perhaps does not even know God himself–if he will not repent and turn, you need to find another church!):

1. Know your God!  Know His Word!  Before you imply your approval of Islam to all those God has entrusted to your care–learn what Islam is!  Know who Allah is!  By allowing the worship of Allah in your church, you are not just making friends of idolaters, you are encouraging and enabling the practice!!  The children of your flock WILL be led astray!  I also believe that  you will invite God’s judgment upon you and your church–because you are breaking the first and second commandments:

You shall have no other gods besides me.  You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.  You shall not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.

You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.”

You may have made this decision innocently and  naively . . . you may not have taken the time to look into Islam . . . but now you have been warned–and scolded–because as a pastor, it is your responsibility to take the time to learn what you are promoting to your flock!   The God of the Bible is not the ‘God’ (Allah) of Islam!  By claiming that Christians and Muslims serve the same God, you are misusing the name of the Lord your God.  You are bringing reproach upon Him, for the things that are done on behalf of Allah and you are misrepresenting the character of the Lord your God!

2. This type of generous gesture is the kind of  ‘submission’ that Islam expects.  They are not surprised.  They are not touched.  Your generosity is not interpreted the way it was intended.  Don’t think that your kindness will win you friendship and understanding from Muslims.  It will only increase arrogance and contempt for your weakness (and present a ‘stumbling block’ for those Muslims that may be searching for the true God!).  If you were in obedience to God, and knew Him, you would not make place for idol worship to take place in your own church!!  How Satan revels in your ignorance!   Repent! Ask God’s forgiveness and stop what you are doing!!

How fitting to end with this (Islam moving into Christian churches), since the Dome of the Rock itself, sits upon the site of the ancient temple–a place where it should not be!!

Hopefully these posts have given you much to think about, and taught you things about Islam that you did not know.  There are another 40+ facts here.

Here is something else to consider:

Islam is an abomination.  Islam brings devastation.  Whether Islam will be  ‘THE abomination that brings desolation’ . . . we’ll have to wait and see.

Know your God!  Do not blaspheme the character of God/Jehovah/the Creator by saying that He and Allah are the same!

These acts are inspired by Allah.  His followers claim he is God.  The Bible tells us God/Jehovah is the Creator.  Are these the acts of a creator . . . or acts of the destroyer?  The end product testifies of its author . . .

Never turn your back on the threat of Islam.

Never back down.

Never give in.

Never let your guard down.

” 40. Muhammad taught that the highest and noblest thing one could do for Allah, was to fight with the sword and/or die in the process. He taught that in heaven, the shade is provided by large swords (Hadith 1:25). Now that’s a strange umbrella indeed! He taught that 24 hours of slicing Christians and pagans into bloody pieces with the sword was better than a month of prayer and fasting.”

” 34.  Allah, the Muslim moon God, can and does break his word and promises because “he is god”. Jesus taught that students are never above their teachers. This may be instructive in dealing with Muslims in politics, business, diplomacy and socialization.”
