Although birds falling from the sky is not a Biblical prophecy of the end times, it certainly does feel ominous and apocalyptic.

Dead Birds in Louisiana

Dead Birds in Louisiana

An important thing to remember is that, while we may not know the reason for the sudden die offs of large numbers of birds–there IS a reason.  I also suspect that certain people may be starting to get nervous, wondering whether their actions are to blame.

Whether or not any of these things is to blame, I want to propose a few things that are potential hazards to the creatures we share the planet with. I am not attempting to provide an official explanation, or new conspiracy theory.  I am just throwing out my opinion, based on what I have heard and what I know.

(Disclaimer:  this is not a well-researched post I am making.  I am relating, from brief notes, what I have learned from recent news stories.  The rest, where no links are given, is based on what I remember from my previous study of Biology.)

First, let me summarize what I know about recent bird die-offs:

Here are some things these type of birds have in common:

  • They congregate in large flocks
  • They tend to migrate in winter
  • They are opportunistic feeders
  • Insects make up a large part of their diet in summer, but in winter they primarily eat grains and weed seeds
  • They settle on agricultural fields, and clean up what is left after the harvest
  • Birds eat more when it is colder–the oils in seeds help to fuel their metabolism, keeping them warm

An article about the Turtle Doves, that died in Italy, may give a further clue as to the cause:

”  . . . Nadia Caselli of the bird association said they appear to have overeaten sunflower seeds, which damage their livers and kidneys. The seeds are mostly waste from a nearby oil factory.”

Here are my thoughts:

  • There are chemicals that concentrate in oils–meaning that, of all the parts of the plant, the seeds (or more specifically, the oil in the seeds) will have the highest concentration of the contaminant.
  • Some of these chemicals are absorbed into the plant after it is sprayed, others are taken up from the soil and water, by the roots.
  • So, agricultural chemicals could be to blame.
  • Our global elite, in their attempts to create ever more power and wealth for themselves, have opened a Pandora’s box of new agricultural innovations–genetically modified plants are one of them.  (Also, genetically modified plants, especially those that are wind-pollinated, have escaped from cultivation and corrupted the DNA of non-modified plants of the same species living nearby. )
  • I am no longer up-to-date on what is happening in the world of GMOs (genetically modified organisms).  What I DO know is that the purpose of some genetic modification is to enable the plants to withstand the effects of herbicides, so that the field can be sprayed to kill weeds without harming the crop.  Although the crop plant may not be harmed, what chemicals are concentrating in its tissues, in the soil, and in the insects and animals that are exposed to the herbicides (either directly, or by eating the plant)?
  • Another type of genetic modification is to make the plant toxic to insects that eat that particular plant.  One particular bacteria, called ‘bt’, is effective in killing caterpillars and the larvae of flies and mosquitos.  By incorporating a ‘bt gene’ into a plant’s DNA, each cell of the plant then produces the same toxin that bt bacteria produce, and makes it deadly to its insect pests.  (I have heard, but can’t verify, that many of us now have that toxin in our gut flora–that the gene has actually been incorporated into the bacteria in our digestive tract!   [presumably from eating plant material that included the bt gene–or maybe, from eating yogurt, if the bacteria that culture yogurt have incorporated the bt gene from the milk from cows that have eaten plant material that contained it . . . ])
  • Thus, the death of these birds may be a result of having introduced genetically modified organisms into the environment.

My objective is to throw out some ideas.  I can only hope that someone, somewhere, is looking into these possibilities.  I think that looking at the source of the seed these birds were eating would tell a lot.

Did these birds eat seeds from genetically modified plants?  Were the seeds they ate, from test fields?  Were the seeds contaminated with some kind of agricultural chemicals?  If so, did anyone know that these seeds might have a potentially lethal effect on wildlife, or people?  Did material from these plants enter into the human food supply too?

Follow the seeds.  What ties these locations, and their seeds together?  Is this the ‘smoking gun’?  If this is the cause, will the truth ever see the light of day?

If GMOs are involved, you can be sure that a ‘plausible explanation’ will soon come forth.  The agricultural companies that are in the business of creating genetically modified organisms are very wealthy, very powerful, and very well connected.  If they are to blame, you can bet they are scrambling to ‘put a lid on’ this.

However, if this is what has happened, and if it is God’s time to reveal more information about the corruption of the elite, the truth will out.

We Could Sell Them ‘Super Seeds’. . .

First Beast Rising

Setting The Stage

Another line of  thinking that I encountered, is that  the death of the Arkansas birds–and fish–could be tied in with HAARP technology or military tests.  Although I know nothing about the blog, here is a link for those of you who would like to hear what that writer has to say.

Another possibility I can think of is a species-specific attack using a nanoweapon. In such a case, it could be a warning from another country (such as China) or our own military testing and refining new nanoweaponry.

And, last but not least, my first thought was that this may somehow tie in with the recent earthquakes in Guy, Arkansas and/or the Gulf Oil Spill.

A couple of weeks ago, I had read a post about Sodom and Gomorrah.  (Here is a link to some fascinating information regarding what is most likely the actual location of Sodom and Gomorrah!)

Genesis 14:10 says that there were tar pits in the Valley of Siddim (now the Dead Sea). Out of curiosity, I did some research as to what kind of geology one would find that includes tar pits, sulfur, and salt.  I learned that these elements are found in areas where petroleum is also found. If I understood correctly, the geology of such places allows for mud, oil, or sulfur-spewing volcanoes to come up overnight.

Interestingly, there are three places in the US that seemed similar to the Valley of Siddim:

  1. A small petroleum seep at the Great Salt Lake in Utah
  2. The region of (underground) salt dome deposits that are located in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas
  3. The San Joaquin Valley of California, where there are several well known tar pits

It may be that nothing like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah will ever happen in these places . . . but strange things ARE happening in Arkansas and Louisiana.

We have already had two major disasters in that region: Hurricane Katrina and the Gulf Oil Spill.  Are we seeing the prelude to another disaster?  Is it possible that the birds and fish were poisoned or injured by venting of toxic gases along a fault line?  Is an earthquake or some sort of eruption imminent?

Or might it tie in with the oil spill?  Is it possible that some of the dispersant used after the oil spill has made its way further inland, through waterways or fault lines?  Or that, last summer, rain contaminated by toxic vapors may have come down on fields in the area, tainting the soil and accumulating in the plants’ seeds, making them toxic?

Whatever IS behind the birds that fell from the sky, a lot of people are watching and asking:  “What’s next?”

Update 1/26/11:

I have heard that some people heard ‘sonic booms’ or a sound like thunder around the same time as the birds died, that night in Beebe, Arkansas.  (Beebe is not far from Guy, Arkansas where numerous small earthquakes have been felt recently).

A number of people in Indiana reported hearing the same thing,  near Indianapolis the day before the birds in Beebe died. The shaking only lasted about 10 seconds.  They were told it was a 3.8 magnitude earthquake (3 miles deep), but some still question why it sounded and felt like an explosion, rather than like a typical earthquake.

Apparently, one guy in Indiana (and his mother in law) heard 3 loud booms at the same time that his friend, Anton, in NC heard the same thing.  I believe this took place on 1/1/11.  He is still trying to find out whether anyone else between Indiana and North Carolina heard the same thing at that time.

So, here is another thought–again, having to do with fault lines and methane releases:  perhaps methane is making its way through the New Madrid fault line and causing underground explosions . . .

Here is a brief description of what a natural gas explosion felt like (see comment #9).

Related to the New Madrid faultline–here is a link to a broadcast yesterday, that talks about the preparations that FEMA is making, for a major disaster related to a quake on the New Madrid fault line within the next three years (you can skip to a little past the half way point).

Whether or not there are underground explosions happening–it may be news to many people that there IS a type of earthquake that is expressed as a loud boom or thundering.   Something is definitely happening along the New Madrid fault line already.

Update 1/23/11:

Trunews interview with Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin (1/11/11) discusses how Marxist ideology has overtaken America.

Well, well, well . . . isn’t this interesting?

Far and away, my most popular post has been Did We Do This? (Haiti Earthquake, part 2) Sure, it was interesting to me too, at the time.  But it has been a little puzzling to me, in light of all the other events that are more in the forefront these days, that this particular blog should receive so much attention.

So, with that question in the back of my mind, when I came across The Fateful Geological Prize Called Haiti (by F. William Engdahl, 30 January 2010), I had to read it.  All of the following excerpts are taken from it–all emphases are mine.  (Please read the original article in its entirety, it contains links to all sources cited.)

“Behind the smoke, rubble and unending drama of human tragedy in the hapless Caribbean country, a drama is in full play for control of what geophysicists believe may be one of the world’s richest zones for hydrocarbons-oil and gas-outside the Middle East, possibly orders of magnitude greater than that of nearby Venezuela.

Haiti, and the larger island of Hispaniola of which it is a part, has the geological fate that it straddles one of the world’s most active geological zones . . .

This vast mass of underwater plates are in constant motion, rubbing against each other . . .

The regions of convergence of such plates are also areas where vast volumes of oil and gas can be pushed upwards from the Earth’s mantle.”

(Could it be that we did indeed use HAARP to give the unstable geology there a little ‘push’?  And, I wonder if an earthquake might help bring the oil and gas a bit closer to the surface, where it would cost less to tap it?  )

“Aside from being prone to violent earthquakes, Haiti also happens to lie in a zone that, due to the unusual geographical intersection of its three tectonic plates, might well be straddling one of the world’s largest unexplored zones of oil and gas, as well as of valuable rare strategic minerals. The vast oil reserves of the Persian Gulf and of the region from the Red Sea into the Gulf of Aden are at a similar convergence zone of large tectonic plates, as are such oil-rich zones as Indonesia and the waters off the coast of California.”

“Notably, in 2005, a year after the Bush-Cheney Administration de facto deposed the democratically elected President of Haiti, Jean-Baptiste Aristide, a team of geologists from the Institute for Geophysics at the University of Texas began an ambitious and thorough two-phase mapping of all geological data of the Caribbean Basins. The project is due to be completed in 2011. Directed by Dr. Paul Mann, it is called “Caribbean Basins, Tectonics and Hydrocarbons.” It is all about determining as precisely as possible the relation between tectonic plates in the Caribbean and the potential for hydrocarbons―oil and gas.

(Now, who was it that had ties to Texas . . . ?)

Notably, the sponsors of the multi-million dollar research project under Mann are the world’s largest oil companies, including Chevron, ExxonMobil, the Anglo-Dutch Shell and BHP Billiton. . .

it is surprising that the region had not been mapped earlier. Now it emerges that major oil companies were at least generally aware of the huge oil potential of the region long ago, but apparently decided to keep it quiet.”

In October 2008 a consortium of oil companies led by Spain’s Repsol, together with Cuba’s state oil company, Cubapetroleo, announced discovery of one of the world’s largest oilfields in the deep water off Cuba. It is what oil geologists call a ‘Super-giant’ field. Estimates are that the Cuban field contains as much as 20 billion barrels of oil, making it the twelfth Super-giant oilfield discovered since 1996. The discovery also likely makes Cuba a new high-priority target for Pentagon destabilization and other nasty operations.

No doubt to the dismay of Washington, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev flew to Havana one month after the Cuban giant oil find to sign an agreement with acting-President Raul Castro for Russian oil companies to explore and develop Cuban oil.

Medvedev’s Russia-Cuba oil agreements came only a week after the visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao to meet the recuperating Fidel Castro and his brother Raul. The Chinese President signed an agreement to modernize Cuban ports and discussed Chinese purchase of Cuban raw materials. No doubt the mammoth new Cuban oil discovery was high on the Chinese agenda with Cuba.”

(Could competition be a motive to move quickly on this?)

“The remarkable geography of Haiti and Cuba and the discovery of world-class oil reserves in the waters off Cuba lend credence to anecdotal accounts of major oil discoveries in several parts of Haitian territory. It also could explain why two Bush Presidents and now special UN Haiti Envoy Bill Clinton have made Haiti such a priority. As well, it could explain why Washington and its NGO’s moved so quickly to remove– twice– the democratically elected President Aristide, whose economic program for Haiti included, among other items, proposals for developing Haitian natural resources for the benefit of the Haitian people.”

“In an interview with a Santo Domingo online paper, Leopoldo Espaillat Nanita, former head of the Dominican Petroleum Refinery (REFIDOMSA) stated, “there is a multinational conspiracy to illegally take the mineral resources of the Haitian people.” Haiti’s minerals include gold, the valuable strategic metal iridium and oil, apparently lots of it.”

” . . . when Aristide was President — up until his US-backed ouster during the Bush era in 2004 — he had developed and published in book form his national development plans. These plans included, for the first time, a detailed list of known sites where the resources of Haiti were located. The publication of the plan sparked a national debate over Haitian radio and in the media about the future of the country. Aristide’s plan was to implement a public-private partnership to ensure that the development of Haiti’s oil, gold and other valuable resources would benefit the national economy and the broader population, and not merely the five Haitian oligarchic families and their US backers, the so-called Chimeres or gangsters.

Since the ouster of Aristide in 2004, Haiti has been an occupied country, with a dubiously-elected President, Rene Preval, a controversial follower of IMF privatization mandates and reportedly tied to the Chimeres or Haitian oligarchs who backed the removal of Aristide. Notably, the US State Department refuses to permit the return of Aristide from South African exile.

Now, in the wake of the devastating earthquake of January 12, the United States military has taken control of Haiti’s four airports and presently has some 20,000 troops in the country. Journalists and international aid organizations have accused the US military of being more concerned with imposing military control, which it prefers  to call “security,” than with bringing urgently needed water, food and medicine from the airport sites to the population.

A US military occupation of Haiti under the guise of earthquake disaster ‘relief’ would give Washington and private business interests tied to it a geopolitical prize of the first order.”

Why Afghanistan?

American Empire

PLEASE Wake Up!!

I am including a link to a very important post on a blog I have been following for several months.  Please read it! It covers what currently is a very likely future scenario for America in regards to China, our borrowing, the value of the US dollar, and your family’s freedom and welfare.

CHINA TO DECIDE THE U.S. HEALTH CARE OUTCOME?

China is trying to put pressure on Obama in regards to the excessive spending required by his new policies, and the decision to simply print more dollars as a response to our economic crisis, but he is responding defiantly. Why is this a problem?  If you aren’t aware–most of our national debt is owned by China, followed by Japan.

Japan is a friend of the US and I have not heard one objection raised, or warning given in relation to the amount of our debt that they hold.  China, however, is a communist country that does not share the same values as America.  While China has not acted aggressively towards America, that does not mean they are ‘safe’.

It is a peculiar American trait that we assume everyone to inherently have the same values, dreams and motivations that we have.  They don’t.  We tend to have a naivete towards others, imputing a character of loyalty, altruism, and generosity to them, until experience proves otherwise.  However, this assessment may  not be accurate.  We also assume that we are perceived, by others, to have those character traits, and that is often not true.

The result of this can be a very big  difference in the perception of our relationship, by the US and whoever the other party may be.  As anyone who speaks a second language knows, you cannot simply translate the words into the hearer’s language and get the intended message across.  It is important to have some understanding of the values, beliefs and taboos of the other party.  It may also be good to have an idea of how they perceive you.  Without taking these things into account, you blunder along like a bull in a china shop.

All that is to say, I don’t believe we should automatically trust the Chinese government (which is both communist and oppressive towards its people).  Especially not when the balance of power is not equal (such as us owing them HUGE amounts of money).  Nor should we assume they are our friends because they ‘were nice enough’ to loan us money when we wanted it.

As soon as we borrowed from them, the balance of power shifted.  They have leverage over us, proportional to the amount we are indebted to them, and compounded by our present inability to pay the balance in full.  Does that make sense?

Just in case, I’ll try to give an example.  Let’s pretend you have a guy you work with, that you get along fairly well with, but sometimes things are a little tense.  He’s quiet and a bit moody, and you have a feeling that you don’t see eye to eye on everything, but he never really comes out and says when he disagrees.  Let’s say that the positions you hold make you competitors within the workplace–not an outright contest, but an awareness that your superiors are always evaluating you against one another.  But, all in all, everything is on an even keel.

Now lets say you’re short on lunch money one day, and he offers to loan it.  You agree and pay him back the next day.  From time to time occasions arise that you borrow a little bit and repay it, then, over time, you find yourself borrowing more money and more often.  Eventually it becomes a habit, and you start borrowing in order to make investments, even gambling a bit.

Long story short, one day you borrow a lot of money from him and sink it into a VERY risky investment because the possible gain is incredible.  He finds out and expresses concern, because he expects you to repay him in a couple of weeks–like you promised.  An honest assessment shows that you are deeply indebted, to someone you don’t know well, who has the ability to undercut you or sabotage you in your career.  Hopefully you wake up and realize because, at this point, and difficult as it may be, you can restore the balance of power between you, and safeguard your career.

There are a couple of ways you can do this.  You can withdraw the money from the risky investment and repay him in full, or you can sell some of your company stock and use that money to repay him in full.  Just having the ability to do so makes the balance of power equal.

However, if you don’t have any stocks or other means to repay him immediately, and if you can’t withdraw from the risky investment, you are on very shaky ground.  EVERYTHING depends on the success of your risky investment.

That, obviously, creates a great deal of stress for you and between you, until you learn the outcome of your investment.  The longer that drags out, the more uncomfortable he may become, and the more pressure he may put on you.  Because you both know you presently have no means of getting out of the deal between you (the short-term loan), he has all the leverage and can change the terms as he chooses, threaten you, or pressure you to do other things. (Blackmail is another illustration of an imbalance of power).

Living with that level of stress, and worry over any number of unknown actions he can take, really can make your life unbearable.  And God forbid that your investment not pay off as you had hoped. . .

That is what it can be like to live with an imbalance of power, in a relationship with someone you don’t know you can trust.  And that is where the United States currently is in her relationship with China–if an honest assessment is to be made.

update 1/7/11:

USA, China, Russia and the New START  Treaty

I am not a student of war. I don’t know the proper terminology, but I know what I see taking shape. I will describe it as best I can.

Russia and China are allied, and lately have been conducting joint military exercises. Russia has also conducted joint naval exercises with Venezuela and is presently working with Cuba to upgrade its military equipment. The Chinese subs that have recently been patrolling off our coasts could obviously be a hindrance to shipping traffic in the event of a war against the United States. And between Russia’s outposts of Cuba & Venezuela, the Gulf of Mexico could be blocked. It is probably safe to assume that the Chinese subs are capable of initiating an EMP (ElectroMagnetic Pulse) attack.

An EMP attack would destroy, in an instant, any unshielded electronic equipment within range. I would guess that means everything from a calculator to a jumbo jet–cell phones, computers, cars, digital thermostats, bank atms, gas pumps, cell phone towers, radio & tv broadcast equipment, etc. We would be without, transportation and communication. If it occurred in winter (which it almost certainly would), we would be without heat.

No means to get food, no heat, no news, no way to call for help, no way to contact family, stuck in place with no transportation and no idea of what’s going on. (How long will it take to realize that it isn’t an ‘ordinary’ blackout? Well–does your cell phone work? Does your calculator work? Does your car start?)

That is how the war would most likely begin–and because of the damage an EMP attack does, it could be years before all these electronic components could be replaced-if they were even available.

Chinese and Russian cyber attacks have mapped out our critical infrastructure and have left software in place that will allow them to seize control of our electrical power grid. Our water and sewage systems are also at risk. So, add to the above: no electricity, no water, and sewers backing up.

A cold, dark hell. For how long? Plenty long enough for what would come next.

Consider the present state of our military. Russia, who lost a protracted ‘war of attrition with Afghanistan’, now plays the part of ‘Brer Rabbit’ and concedes to let our military continue to exhaust its men and supplies in a location to which Russia controls evacuation and supply routes. Weary soldiers have served tour upon tour in some of the most desolate, extreme and spiritually oppressive locations on the face of the earth. And our blessed new leader (all hail) feels that this is an opportune time to begin disarming America by decreasing our military spending! If all that isn’t enough, figure in the constant pressure, here at home, to disarm the American people.

The first wave of invasion will be Russian, from the north. Alaska is just a skip and a jump from Russia. (As I understand it, the land is passable when the ground is frozen to a great enough depth, making winter the most attractive time of year for an incursion via Alaska.) The Russian tanks will roll in, cross Canada and flood the center of America. At the same time, Russian tanks in Venezuela will be moving to the North–and others will be moving into the Southeast via Cuba.

I’m sure there’s more. Our oil supplies can obviously be cut off in the Persian Gulf, but I think (until the real attack comes) that’s more likely to be a strategy to gain leverage over issues like permitting Iran and other Russian proxies to continue with their weapons programs.

Oh, did I forget to mention the new supersonic ‘Sizzler’ Russian antiship cruise missiles that can decimate a fleet of US aircraft carriers? Yeah, they’re passing those out to their friends too . . .

We are missing what is in plain sight!!

Start doing your own Google searches about these subjects. The warnings are out there, but we are falling apart in so many ways here at home, that we are nearly oblivious to the noose that is closing around us!

I was asked, by someone who was skeptical, ‘Why would Russia attack us?’. I don’t know. Do we have to have a reason first, to believe it could happen? My immediate response is-why wouldn’t they?

I guess it’s the old ‘glass half full or glass half empty’ conundrum. Some people look at things as being improbable unless there’s a good reason for them to happen, but I see things as probable unless there’s a good reason for them not to.

I can speculate as to why, or put myself in the place of a Russian or Chinese leader and see good reasons for it, but ‘why?’ is not really important to me. For me, the question is always ‘how?’

It’s important to remember-everyone is not like us. We all see the world differently. We all have different aspirations, different values. Just because we wouldn’t do something, doesn’t mean someone else wouldn’t see it as being a perfectly good option.

If you are a person who always has to know why, my reasons will probably seem lame, but here they are:

1. my intuition is telling me so
2. several people in Russia, at great personal risk, are trying to alert us to the coming danger
3. the Bible foretells it

Don’t get stuck at why!
