We All Sin Every Day . . . ???

Christians don’t ‘all sin every day’. When we repent of our sins and turn to Christ by faith, in sincerity, He gives us a new heart and we hate the sin we used to love. Not only that, He fills us with His Spirit, who gives us the power to wrestle with sin and be able to say ‘no’ to it.

Did you ever repent when you came to Christ? Did you ever confess your sins to God, ask Him to forgive you, and make up your mind to live the way He wants you to? No, you don’t have to answer to me. But, as a Christian, I have to ask.

It seems that the ‘churches’ today are so keen not to offend anyone that they don’t dare tell people they are sinners, and that they need to repent. But if we don’t repent, then we don’t receive the new heart I told you about, nor do we receive the Holy Spirit to help us stop sinning. God only gives those things (and eternal life) to those who are sincere in their commitment to turn away from sin and to obey Him. Just BELIEVING in God is not enough.

‘Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven.’ (Matt. 7:21)

‘And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and DO NOT the things which I say?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, AND DOETH THEM, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

But he that heareth, AND DOETH NOT, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.’ (Luke 6:46-49)

Christians rarely sin on purpose, because when we allow the Holy Spirit to guide and direct us, He does not lead us into sin–and if we start to go astray, He will convict us (make us feel bad) to warn us. Sin separates us from God, and we do not WANT to sin, so when the Holy Spirit shows us we are doing something wrong, we repent and stop.

To sin in ways we do not know . . . sometimes we do. And the Holy Spirit sometimes overlooks those things for a time, and leads us to learn the truth about them. What we do after we learn the truth is important, because if we continue to do something that is wrong after He has taught us, and warned us not to, then that is a serious thing.

‘For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.’ (Heb. 10:26-27)

Those who are truly children of God are serious about not wanting to sin, and serious about learning how God expects us to live, and being obedient. We do not brush off warnings, and we do not stiffen our necks and go our own stubborn way.

I hope you will honestly examine yourself, your attitudes, and how you came to Christ. If you have not truly repented, it would be a tragedy for you not to realize you aren’t really a Christian until you are standing before the Lord on Judgment Day. I urge you to make things right today.

The Difference

There’s a HUGE difference between a true Christian and a ‘believer’.

A true Christian lives a life that is obedient to God, and soon sincerely repents if they stumble.

A believer . . . well . . . a believer doesn’t do much besides believe. Believe in Jesus . . . believe what the Bible says . . . but somehow it never seems to translate into obedient action.

‘Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven.’ (Matt. 7:21)

A lot of times, those who have the most struggle with sin are those who yell the loudest when you talk about stopping behaviors that strengthen ‘the flesh’ and its lusts.  They defensively proclaim that they have ‘liberty in Christ’.  Well let me ask . . . if that’s YOUR mantra: how’s it working out for you?

Hypothetically it sounds great, but how about some honest self examination . . . in real life, how is your walk? Are you walking in purity, holiness, and righteousness? If not . . . is it just MAYBE possible that living according to your ‘liberty in Christ’ is your downfall? Could masturbation or listening to secular music be making it harder for you to walk righteously (or even some so-called ‘Christian music’)? Are these activities perhaps doorways to strongholds you’ve had (or are now developing) in your life?

When we walk away and shut the door on our past sins (and we must!!), we should understand that playing with the door itself is likely to cause us to want to walk through it again. Don’t even touch the doorknob!

Jesus said:

‘And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.’ (Matthew 5:29-30)

If Jesus advised removing BODY PARTS that led us into sin . . . how much more should we remove BEHAVIORS that lead us into sin? Even Paul noted:

‘All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.’
(1 Corinthians 10:23)

We all like to think we’re the STRONG Christians who can walk in liberty . . . but is that really how it’s playing out in your life? Isn’t it time to be honest with yourself?  Don’t wait around for Jesus to deliver you from sin . . . WALK AWAY!!

The Gift Of Eternal Life

To be a Christian is to acknowledge that there is ONE supreme God, who is the Creator of all things. It is to choose to submit to HIS rules, and learn HIS ways. As we learn about His rules, we come to see that we have broken them. Because we have broken them, we cannot have a part in His Kingdom. BUT . . . a way has been made, for those who are sincere about following in His ways.

‘Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, [Ye] men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by [that] man whom he hath ordained; [whereof] he hath given assurance unto all [men], in that he hath raised him from the dead*.’ (Acts 17:22-31)

* This is speaking about Jesus Christ

This supreme God, sent His ONLY begotten son, into the world. When Jesus came, He taught us to uphold God’s laws, and that love is the spirit behind all of God’s laws. If we will truly love God more than anything, and love our neighbor as ourselves, we will be living in harmony with his Law.

However, there is still the problem of our past sins. Once you began to sin, you broke your connection to God. There is only ONE way to renew the connection to God that was broken when you first broke His Law. And here is the way He made . . . Jesus Christ, being both man (by His mother) and God (by His Father [God]), lived a PERFECT life. Because He was perfect, He was able to pay the penalty for OUR sins, so that we could be reconciled to the Father God.

The Bible tells us EVERYONE sins that is not born again of God. Therefore, telling you that you are a sinner is not me making a judgment against you. It is simply stating a fact.  EVERYONE eventually sins. Sin is breaking God’s Law.

God’s Law says that we must not lie. Have you EVER, even once, told a lie–even a small one?

God’s Law says we must not steal. Have you EVER stolen anything (even a pencil)?

God’s Law says we must have no other gods before Him . . . and that we must never make or worship an idol, or other god. Have you EVER done that?

God’s Law says we must not desire things that belong to someone else. Have you EVER done that?

God’s Law says to honor your mother and father. Have you ALWAYS done that? ALWAYS been respectful? ALWAYS obeyed them?

God’s Law says that we are to worship God on the seventh day of the week, and do no unnecessary work that day. Have you kept this law of the ‘Sabbath’?

(There are other laws too . . . to not murder, to not commit adultery, to not take His name in vain.)

The Father has determined that Jesus is the ONLY way that we can be reconciled to Him, because Jesus is the only one who has ever been worthy to pay the price for our sins.  You can never be connected to God again, unless you come to Him in humility and repentance, through belief in Jesus Christ. Otherwise, you are eternally separated from Him by your sins.

‘Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. . . Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. . . I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved . . . ‘ (Jesus, John 10:1,7,9)

‘Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’ (Jesus, John 14:6)

‘Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.’ (Acts 4:12)

In order for His payment to cover your sins, you have to come to God, in humility, asking forgiveness for your sins (times you’ve broken His Law). You must believe that Jesus paid the price for your sins, having died for them. Then you must commit yourself to live according to HIS ways . . . to have communion with Him through prayer . . . to be transformed to become like Him, through reading His Word (the Bible) . . . and not to be a ‘hearer’ only, but a ‘doer’ of His Word.

You must understand, that if you later turn away from doing His way, then it was all in vain.  If you stumble, He will pick you up and forgive you if you repent, but you must not turn back to a life of sin. The commitment to walk in His ways must be a lifelong commitment, because it is not until we have ‘endured to the end’ that we can say ‘I am saved’.

As someone recently told me: ‘I know many devoted Christian people who preach about God and try to convert everyone, yet they sin so much it’s unbelievable.  I bet they ask Jesus to forgive them for their sins daily just because Jesus said he will. They are the ones that happen to do drugs, gossip, lie, etc.  I know many of them and it’s pathetic really, because they stand there and preach as if they are so holy.’

This is something I CONSTANTLY address. These people may THINK they are Christians, but they aren’t, because they’ve apparently never repented. Without repentance, you (anyone) can’t become a Christian. And we aren’t to use (abuse) the grace (and forgiveness) of God, as a license for sin.

‘Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat: Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it.’ (Matthew 7:13-14)

‘Then said one unto him, Lord, are there FEW that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for MANY, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.’ (Luke 13:23-24)

‘If ye love me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.’ (Jesus, John 14:15)

‘Follow peace with all [men], AND HOLINESS, without which no man shall see the Lord‘ (Hebrews 12:14)

This may sound really difficult, but if you are sincere in the commitment you make to God, you will receive the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit will give you the power to live a holy life.  The Holy Spirit will teach you, and guide you into righteousness.  As long as you will submit to the inner leading of the Holy Spirit, you’ll do fine.  If you stumble, the Holy Spirit will show you, and lead you to repent.  The difficult part, truth be told, is having the will to turn away from sin.  But if you have truly experienced a godly sorrow over your sins, and sincerely repented . . . if you understand how close you were to eternal punishment . . . if you realize the tremendous gift that Jesus Christ has given you, and what it cost Him . . . if you can comprehend the awesomeness of having a second chance . . . you WILL have the will to turn away from sin.  You will hate sin and realize it is your mortal enemy.  You will want nothing more to do with it.

As someone else recently said:  ‘[Becoming a Christian] doesn’t instantly make someone perfect. It takes a lot of work on God’s part to refine you and convict you of sin, so it doesn’t go away instantly. That is a common misconception.’

I agree, but only in part.  And let me explain why:  I believe IF preachers would tell the truth, then church goers would realize that they need to turn AWAY from sin when they become Christians. If they realized that, some would decide not to become Christians. And those who did would turn from sin.

It takes a lot of work on God’s part, because He works on them all week long, then when they meet on Sundays, they’re told rubbish like ‘we all sin every day’ and other lies that make it sound like it’s not our responsibility to stop sinning . . . like somehow, someday, God is magically going to do the work for us! And, without reading their own Bibles many of them believe this, because it’s what they want to hear. Then when someone comes along and tells them the truth, and uses the Bible to show them, they get angry!!

But that’s ok.  It just helps us to sort out the true Christians from the pseudo Christians who haven’t ever been truly converted.  True Christians seek to know what pleases God, so that they can live that way.  They are meek and humble when corrected.  They have the gentle temperament of sheep.

Pseudo Christians, on the other hand, argue, rationalize, and justify.  They aren’t interested in doing God’s will.  They stubbornly cling to their ‘right’ to do their own will.  They spend more time in the Word looking for verses that seem to provide loopholes, than reading it to be transformed.  Pseudo Christians have the contrary temperament of goats.

‘Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.  And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.  Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.  Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.  Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.’  (1 John 3:1-10)

Here is a question for ALL of us:

Did you go through an experience of godly sorrow and repentance when you accepted Jesus Christ?

A false ‘gospel’ is being preached these days that omits this vital step, so MANY people would honestly have to answer ‘no’ to that question. But without repentance, there is no forgiveness. Without repentance and forgiveness, a person is not a converted Christian yet. A new heart, and the Holy Spirit are only given to CONVERTED (penitent) Christians.

WITH the Holy Spirit, this promise is yours:

‘But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE SHALL TEACH YOU all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.’ (John 14:26)

‘But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing TEACHETH YOU of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.’ (1 John 2:27)

But if you have never gone through the process of repentance, you will not have the Holy Spirit yet . . . you will still be a ‘natural man’, not yet born of the Spirit . . . and this verse will be true of you:

‘But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: NEITHER CAN HE KNOW [THEM], BECAUSE THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED.’ (1 Corinthian 2:14)

So, attempting to discuss Scripture or doctrine with someone who had not been completely converted would be a waste of time. Urging such a person to pray for insight into the Scriptures would also be a waste of time. Thus my question to you:

Did you go through an experience of godly sorrow and repentance when you accepted Jesus Christ?

Sadly, many of us have recently come to realize that even many of the renowned men of Christendom were wrong in some of their doctrines.  Worse–many of the Bible commentators were too!  Because their writings and study guides are also used in seminaries, this has led to a multitude of pastors believing false doctrines and promoting them to their congregations.  Today, the deception is widespread.

Christians MUST come to understand that it is not God’s will for them to be submitting to a man (or men) for all their spiritual learning.  They must learn to pray that HE will teach them, and read the Word for themselves.  It is not a matter of intelligence.  The Holy Spirit will teach you in a way that you will understand.   (Why do you suppose the Catholic ‘church’ went to such great lengths to keep Bibles out of the hands of the common man?  Now Satan works more subtly, by projecting verses on the overhead so that no one need bother to open their own Bible.)

This promise is for ALL true Christians:

‘But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.’  (John 14:26)

‘But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.’  (1 John 2:27)

Which brings us to an important point.  There are a couple of reasons that many ‘Christians’ don’t find themselves understanding God’s Word.

1.  Many people who say they are Christians are not even Christians.  REPENTANCE is the necessary first step of salvation.  One of the false doctrines that has been promoted for the past few decades, is that all you need to do is ‘believe’ in Jesus. ‘God hates the sin, but not the sinner’ . . .  ‘just come as you are’, sinners are told.   This is a twisting of Scripture and a misrepresentation of the gospel.  True conversion begins with godly sorrow that leads to repentance.  THEN God forgives, because of Jesus’ death on our behalf.  But where there is no apology . . . no acknowledgement of one’s sins . . . there can be no forgiveness.  Without forgiveness, there is no NEW HEART given . . . no Holy Spirit received.  Although CONVINCED, such people are not converted.  Because they are not converted, and have not received the Holy Spirit,  the Scriptures above DO NOT apply to them, but this verse DOES:

‘But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.’  (1 Cor. 2:14)

So it IS true–many church goers, who BELIEVE they are Christians (but aren’t fully CONVERTED), do not understand the Bible.

2.  Newer Bible versions are based on corrupted manuscripts, translated by the Vatican and/or by occultists.  God’s Word is His testimony.  To change wording and intent when translating, is to add error to His testimony, rendering it invalid.  From what I have learned, the Authorized Version of the King James Bible is the best, most accurate rendering of God’s Word.  When I read this translation, there is a spiritual anointing present that I do not find with other versions.

Jesus IS the Word.  It is not surprising that, by using a similar (but not the same) ‘Word’, the churches would have invented ‘another Jesus’.  But that’s exactly the situation we have today:  another ‘Word’, another ‘Jesus’, and another ‘gospel’ . . . and ‘churches’ full of believers in this (other) Jesus and (other) gospel that are convinced they are real Christians. If you don’t believe me, look at their fruit–because by their fruit you will know them.  (Matthew 7:15-23, Galatians 5:19-24)

The bottom line is this:

  • Become a TRUE, converted Christian, by repenting of your sins and confessing them to God AND believing in Jesus’ death on your behalf.
  • Live a life of obedience to His commandments, as He instructed us.  (Matt. 19:17, John 14:15, 15:10, 1 John 2:3, 5:3, Rev. 12:17, 14:12)
  • Pray often for wisdom.  (James 1:5)
  • Pray for understanding and read His Word.

It bears repeating . . . Catholicism is NOT Christianity . . . not a denomination of it, not the foundation of it, not a representative of it.  It is a pagan death cult that seeks to imitate and replace true Christianity.  It was inspired by Satan, and is a stronghold of evil and deceiving spirits.

If you believe in true, Biblical Christianity, don’t deceive yourself that you can have fellowship with (Catholic) unrighteousness, that you can have communion with (Catholic) darkness, that you can have part with (Catholic) infidels, that you can have agreement with (Catholic) idolatry.

”Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.’
(2 Corinthians 6:17-18)

I believe that those who have the most trouble with backsliding, are those who fail to realize that we live in a raging battle between Lucifer and his followers, and God and the host of heaven.

Right now, the Earth and all mankind belong to the devil. Those of us who become Christians become enemies of the devil. Jesus Christ gave his spiritual authority to Christians, and the devil knows this.

Genesis 3:15 (God speaking to the devil / Lucifer / Satan) says:

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

This verse is primarily fulfilled through Jesus Christ, but in a sense, the enmity (and the spiritual battle) continues to this day. For this reason (and because man is created in the image of God), the devil hates mankind and seeks to defile and destroy us.

I am going to quote some of what a friend wrote in a blog post, and add a view into the spiritual dimension, so you can REALLY see what is happening, and what we struggle against.  (MY COMMENTS WILL BE IN CAPS)

“For example, let’s say that someone is an alcoholic. One day this alcoholic realized that his or her life is a mess, and they cried out to God to deliver them. Through a series of events, God set them free from alcohol. And for a while, that person never even thought about drinking. (BUT, THAT VERY DAY THEY CALLED OUT TO GOD, THAT PERSON OBTAINED A NEW AND PERSISTENT ENEMY: THE DEVIL)

But one day, all kinds of things happened that made life hard to deal with. (JUST HAPPENED? OR PERHAPS–ORCHESTRATED!) It could be any number of things, but never the less, the result is the same. (DEMONS THAT ARE ASSIGNED TO THEM SPRING INTO ACTION. LITTLE THOUGHT ‘DARTS’ PENETRATE THEIR MIND. ‘BOY, I NEED A DRINK’, THE DEVIL WHISPERS. ) That person looks to alcohol as a refuge.

(‘JUST A LITTLE BUZZ WOULD BE NICE’, THE DEVIL WHISPERS. ‘JUST A BEER OR TWO’ . . . ) They want to escape into “happiness” just for a little while. Just enough to numb things out a little bit so they can relax and think things through. So after some conflict in their head and heart, they cave in to the pressure, and they pick up a six-pack.

There was that one last bit of hesitation right before the bottle touched their lips, but that was quickly overcome by the thought (THOUGHT ‘DART’ SENT BY THE DEVIL) of “it’s too late now, you’ve already bought the beer and opened it up.” So down goes the first bottle. They think “this time I will only drink in moderation”, but that didn’t work last time, and it won’t work this time either. (‘MAYBE JUST ONE MORE’, THE DEVIL WHISPERS . . . AGAIN, AND AGAIN . . . )

(AS SOON AS THEY WAKE THE NEXT DAY, THE DEVIL BEGINS SENDING THOUGHT DARTS OF CONDEMNATION . . . AND TEMPTATION . . . AND HOPELESSNESS. ‘I REALLY SCREWED UP’, HE WHISPERS. ‘I ALWAYS SCREW UP–I’M WORTHLESS.’ ‘WHY DO I EVEN BOTHER?

AND THE DEVIL’S FAVORITE . . . THE ONE HE SENDS AGAIN AND AGAIN: ‘IT’S HOPELESS. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT I DO, I CAN’T FIGHT THIS. I CAN’T GET SET FREE. I CAN’T OVERCOME THIS. THERE’S NOTHING I CAN DO. WHY EVEN TRY TO FIGHT IT? IT’S HOPELESS”

THEN: ‘BUT GOD SAYS IT’S WRONG’ . . . ‘BUT I’VE TRIED. I CAN’T STOP. I’LL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH. GOD MUST REALLY HATE ME NOW.’ THEN, AGAIN: ‘IT’S HOPELESS. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT I DO, I CAN’T FIGHT THIS. I CAN’T GET SET FREE. I CAN’T OVERCOME THIS. THERE’S NOTHING I CAN DO. WHY EVEN TRY TO FIGHT IT? IT’S HOPELESS”)

Before they know it, they are stopping by the store every night on the way home from work. (WHEN THEY DRINK IS THE ONLY TIME THE VOICES SHUT UP AND GIVE THEM ANY PEACE!) They will meet other people who drink (YOU DON’T THINK THAT’S BY COINCIDENCE DO YOU?), and late nights at the bar are a normal way of life…again. Then comes the DWI, then comes the totaled car, then comes the broken marriage. Why did this happen?’

It happens because we either don’t know, or don’t believe that there is a huge demonic presence on this Earth, that is constantly at work (especially at opposing the people of God). These demons are eternal beings that never sleep! They will work on you 24/7 for the rest of your life . . . if you let them!!

But here is the key–you DON’T let them!! The Bible tells us that the devil goes about, like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. But it also tells us ‘resist the devil and he will flee from you’.

Now, Satan’s #1 lie is that he doesn’t exist. Obviously it is to his advantage that we believe that, because if we do, we won’t resist him! But, the Bible wouldn’t tell us to resist him if he didn’t exist!!

One way to resist him (besides to ignore what he is saying or telling us to do), is to ‘rebuke’ him. You can say: ‘Satan (or ‘demons’)–LEAVE ME ALONE!! IN JESUS’ NAME!

(If you aren’t a Christian, your authority is pretty limited, so you’d better get that resolved first.)

The other thing to do is to ‘plead the blood of Jesus’ over yourself for protection. That’s as simple as saying: ‘I plead the blood of Jesus over myself’.

So, lets review. The first, and most important steps you take are to:

  1. Do your best to live right
  2. ‘Plead the blood of Jesus’ over yourself daily
  3. Always remember that you are involved in a spiritual battle, and that the spirit world is very real
  4. Resist the devil
  5. Rebuke the devil/demons when they mess with you

If you will do these things, you will see a tremendous improvement! Beyond that, there are other things you’ll need to learn more about and do, for complete deliverance.

  • Clean up your life and your home, work station, etc. Learn about the kind of things that can be ‘doorways’ for demons, or that demons can ‘attach to’ and get rid of them.
  • Get deliverance from (have cast out) any demons that are living inside you.

(Satan’s #2 lie is that Christians can’t have demons inside them.)
