“Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron—for iron breaks and smashes everything—and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others.

Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay.

As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle.  And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.

In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.”  Daniel 2: 40-44

This passage is the interpretation of a dream that king (of Babylon) Nebuchadnezzar had.  It consisted of a statue made of various metals.  It represented the various world empires that would come, beginning at the head (the Babylonian empire) and ending at the toes (the divided end of the Roman empire).

The early Roman empire was essentially divided in two–the East and the West.  The western portion of the Roman empire eventually morphed into the British Empire, which eventually morphed into the American Empire.

“Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron—for iron breaks and smashes everything—and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others. ”  Daniel 2:40

The ‘fourth kingdom’  (1st. Babylonian  2nd. Medo-Persian  3rd. Greek  4th. Roman) is also represented as the end-time ‘beast’ empire in Daniel 7:

“After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast–terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.”  Daniel 7:7

which is parallel to the description given in Revelation 13:

“And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.   The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.  One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast.  Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?”  Revelation 13: 1-4

Whether this fourth beast is a future, ‘revived’ United States, or whether it is a coalition or alliance of  ‘western nations’ that is led by the U.S., will remain to be seen.  But, I believe the dominant player and character of this ‘beast’ empire, will be America.

Accordingly, in the not-so-distant future, America (or the coalition of nations) will suffer a potentially fatal wound to one of its ‘heads’.

Once revived, and as a result of the trauma from the near-fatal blow, it will have a different character than before.  It will be anti-God through and through.  It will dominate by strong displays of power.  The previous structure of government and power (represented as  seven heads) will be destroyed by the near-fatal wound, and in its place will rise a structure ruled by ten leaders.

“Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. ”  Daniel 2:41

I believe this description is of America, and the ‘western nations’.  America is a nation of united sovereign states.  Thus, it can be said that it is divided into states.  Politically and ideologically, we are also very divided now.    While I believe this passage speaks primarily to the American Empire, I think similar conclusions can be drawn regarding the other ‘western nations’, many of which are members of the European Union.

“As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle.  And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay. ”  Daniel 2:42-43

I think this is a pretty good description of America today, as well as many western nations.  A sobering point here is that “the people . . . will not remain united”.

The final point to be made, is that Jesus IS coming back soon, to establish His kingdom on Earth.

“In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.”  Daniel 2:44

and

“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.   His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.  He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.   The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.  Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”  He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.  On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:

King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great.”

Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.  The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.”  Revelation 19:11-21

His return is very near.

Definition of ‘occult’:

Of or pertaining to magic, astrology, or any system claiming use or knowledge of secret or supernatural powers or agencies.

We are now living in the days of (the book of the Bible: ‘Revelation’ aka ‘The Apocalypse’).

Everywhere you turn, God is bringing hidden things to light.  He is uncovering and exposing the works of darkness, revealing things that were concealed, and disclosing things that have been kept secret.  He is allowing our knowledge to expand, and giving us the keys to solve the great mysteries that have vexed mankind throughout history.

1. The first Revelation of God was Christ Himself, when He came to Earth, born of a virgin, living to teach us His ways, and dying to pay the price for our sins.

2. The second Revelation of God was the establishment of His kingdom on Earth– The choosing of  His first disciples and the subsequent birth of The Church (NOT the ‘Catholic church’, which was a subversion of The Church).

3. The third Revelation of God is exposing the hidden works of darkness.  He is calling Believers to partner with Him in this work.

Satan and his schemes are being revealed to the world.  All the peoples of the world now have a decision to make: will they accept Jesus Christ by faith, or will they accept the tempting and tantalizing invitation of satan, to be a partof his (doomed) kingdom?

‘Time’ is drawing to a close.  We are entering into the last days of God’s invitation to mankind, to be a part of His eternal kingdom.  Satan’s kingdom, and the kingdoms of this world will have their brief moment, and then it will be over.  Jesus Christ will defeat the kingdoms of Satan, and of the world, and will establish His kingdom here on Earth.

4. The fourth, and last, Revelation of God is His arrival here on Earth to overthrow ALL existing kingdoms, and begin to rule and reign.

All who would be a part of His kingdom, must enter in by faith–faith in Him, faith that our sins were paid in full by His death, faith that He was who He claimed to be (the only begotten son of God and the only way to the Father), faith in His promises to us (as contained in the Word of God–the Bible).  Faith that has not yet seen the substance of which it hopes for.

In other words: you can’t wait until Jesus appears to accept His invitation!

If you are not a believer, the times of the third revelation of God (which we are now in), are the final days for you to make your choice.  Choose wisely!!
