I Never Knew You

‘Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.’  (Matt. 7:22-23)

These are people that placed their faith in Jesus.  According to today’s (false) gospel, they were saved, by simply believing.  And THEY believed they were saved.  But here’s the problem: they lived in sin (they worked iniquity).

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.’  (Titus 1:16)

Whether they never knew Jesus, or whether they backslid, it doesn’t matter.  Now they are lost.  They lived in sin even though they persisted in their faith.

In God’s Word, in the Old Testament alone, it is repeated four times (the number of times something is repeated signifies its importance–four repetitions means God wants to make it VERY clear) . . .

‘But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, [and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked [man] doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, IN THEM SHALL HE DIE.’  (Ezekiel 18:24)

When a righteous [man] turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; FOR HIS INIQUITY THAT HE HATH DONE SHALL HE DIE.’  (Ezekiel 18:26)

‘The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression . . . neither shall the righteous be able to live for his [righteousness] in the day that he sinneth.

When I shall say to the righteous, [that] he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, HE SHALL DIE for it.’  (Ezekiel 33:12-13)

When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, HE SHALL EVEN DIE thereby.’  (Ezekiel 33:18)

Furthermore, Jesus is being truthful in saying ‘I never knew you’.  And here is why . . .  there is a principal that was twice repeated in the verses above:

‘But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity . . . All his righteousness that he hath done SHALL NOT BE MENTIONED . . . ‘  (Ez. 18:24)

and

‘ . . . if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, ALL HIS RIGHTEOUSNESSES SHALL NOT BE REMEMBERED . . . ‘  (Ez. 33:13)

Just as completely as Jesus forgets the sins of those who have turned to Him in humble repentance . . . so completely does He forget those who have turned back to sin, rejected the warnings of His Holy Spirit, and despised His chastisement.  Don’t believe He can ever deny someone?

‘But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.’  (Matt. 10:33)

Remember this?

‘They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him] . . . ‘  (Titus 1:16)

That ought to put a little fear in you–and that kind of fear is a good thing.

‘ . . .Behold, the fear of the Lord, that [is] wisdom; and to depart from evil [is] understanding.’  (Job 28:28)

Better you learn the fear of God now, and turn from wickedness, than to hear those most dreaded of words on judgment day:  ‘I never knew you: depart from me’.

‘For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?’  (Hebrews 10:26-29)

‘For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.

or the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers [is] rejected, and [is] nigh unto cursing; whose end [is] to be burned.’  (Hebrews 6:4-8)

The Bible also has something to say about pastors that teach false doctrines such as ‘Once Saved Always Saved’ . . .

‘For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. . . Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.’ (Jude 1:4, 13)

‘These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

For when they speak great swelling [words] of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, [through much] wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.  While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known [it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.’  (2 Peter 2:17-21)

If you are backslidden now and this message has gotten ahold of your heart, I want to offer you hope and a plea:

‘when the wicked [man] turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.  Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, HE SHALL SURELY LIVE, he shall not die. . .

Repent, and turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.  Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die . . .?  For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn [yourselves], and live ye.’  (Ezekiel 18:27-28, 30-32)

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, HE SHALL SURELY LIVE, he shall not die.  All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.  Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: [and] not that he should return from his ways, and live?’  (Ezekiel 18:21-23)

‘Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; [If] the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; HE SHALL SURELY LIVE, he shall not die.  None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.’  (Ezekiel 33:14-16)

But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.’  (Ezekiel 33:19)

‘The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.’  (Psalm 51:17)

If you are ready to turn from wickedness, God is willing to forgive you of all your sins. Jesus–God in the flesh–died upon a cross, in your place, to pay the price for your sins, so that God could forgive you.

Jesus was perfect and sinless. He died, not for any sins of His own, but for you. If you are ready to count yourself as dead and live for Him, then confess your sins to Him and ask Him to forgive you and fill your heart with His presence.

The Gift That Costs You Everything

The Once Saved Always Saved doctrine is a deception–a very dangerous one. So is the ‘seeker-friendly’ movement. Jesus said to count the cost before making a commitment. How much more, before entering into a blood covenant! (Yes, HIS blood seals the deal when you accept his gift of salvation.)

‘For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known [it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.’ (2 Peter 2:20-21)

You are not doing anyone a favor by soft selling them the gospel. A person needs to know what they are getting into, before they commit to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

‘When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.’ (Deut. 23:21)

‘If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.’ (Num. 30:2)

‘When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for [he hath] no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better [is it] that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.’ (Eccl. 5:4-5)

God is not a ‘friend with benefits’. Becoming a Christian is a COVENANT . . . like marriage. Today’s ‘Christianity’ is more like ‘shacking up’ with God.

‘And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, If any [man] come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have [sufficient] to finish [it]? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish [it], all that behold [it] begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.’ (Luke 14:25-33)

(Jesus wasn’t interested in having a large number of half-hearted followers . . . He wanted followers that were FULLY COMMITTED, however few that might be.  This is quite the reverse of the seeker-friendly paradigm of modern ‘Christianity’.)

It’s true that it costs you nothing but faith to enter this covenant–Jesus paid for the wedding–but staying married to Him will cost you your life. Are you putting a stumbling block in front of others by promising them a one-sided gospel, where all they have to do is receive?

God Will Put You To The Test

‘ . . .  there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.’  (Matt. 24:24)

God isn’t mocked.  He will separate those who are only looking for a way of escape from hell, from those who are really committed to Him.  Part of the way He does this, is by sending false prophets who tell you what you want to hear:

  • everything is permissible, you’re ‘covered by grace’ (or ‘covered by His blood’ or ‘once saved always saved’)
  • God doesn’t judge
  • its ok to follow other gods (have a spirit guide; do yoga, meditation, contemplative payer, or Reiki; listen to the ‘ascended masters’, or the Pleiadeans, or whoever, etc.)
  • nothing is sinful in itself, listen to what music you like, celebrate whatever holidays you please
  • we shouldn’t take the Bible literally
  • don’t strive to be righteous, that’s ‘works salvation’ (or being a Pharisee)
  • God wants you to be prosperous and successful, and ‘have your best life now’
  • don’t be so serious, relax, God wants you to have fun and enjoy life too
  • etc., etc.

God will test you to see whether you will be obedient to what is plainly written throughout His Word, or whether you will use their words as a justification to do what you want.

‘If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

And the sign or the wonder COME TO PASS,

whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams:

FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD PROVETH YOU, TO KNOW WHETHER YE LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL.

Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.‘  (Deut. 13:1-4)

‘And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who BELIEVED NOT THE TRUTH, but HAD PLEASURE IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.‘  (2 Thess. 2:11-12)

‘For the time will come when they WILL NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE; but AFTER THEIR OWN LUSTS SHALL THEY HEAP TO THEMSELVES TEACHERS , having itching ears; And they shall TURN AWAY [their] ears FROM THE TRUTH, and shall be TURNED UNTO FABLES.’  (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

Back to the truth that people are turning away from . . .

In Deuteronomy 13:1-4 we see there are two alternatives:

  1. Follow the false prophet, who is able to perform signs and wonders,  who tells you ‘let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them’,  or
  2. ‘Walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.’

Lest you think this applies only to Old Testament times, let us look at the SAME choice, given to all who are on the Earth, in the last days

‘And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and CAUSETH THE EARTH AND THEM WHICH DWELL THEREIN TO WORSHIP the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.  And he DOETH GREAT WONDERS, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; SAYING TO THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH, THAT THEY SHOULD MAKE AN IMAGE to the beast . . . ‘  (Rev. 13:11-14)

Deuteronomy 13:1-3 prophesied, thousands of years ago, of the events that are in our near future!  Notice the parallel between the passages:

”there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder COME TO PASS,

whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them’

And those who would NOT worship or follow this other god, or participate in creating the idol as part of his worship . . . how are they described?

‘And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, WHICH KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’  (Rev. 12:17)

‘Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND the faith of Jesus.’  (Rev. 14:12)

Again, note the parallel to Deuteronomy 13:4:

‘Walk after the LORD your God, and FEAR HIM, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, and OBEY his voice, and ye shall serve HIM, and cleave unto him.’

Also, note that in 2 Thessalonians 2 there was a contradiction implied:

‘That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, BUT had pleasure in unrighteousness.’

There are two choices:

  1. believe the truth, or
  2. have pleasure in unrighteousness

The two choices are opposites, implying that to believe the truth is the opposite of having pleasure in unrighteousness.  Again, this speaks so clearly to the times in which we live, and the things which the false prophets are saying.  Either:

  1. you can choose to believe the truth which permeates God’s Word–which is that we need to fear the Lord, walk after Him, follow His commandments, obey His voice, serve Him, and cleave to Him, or
  2. you can choose to believe the lies of today’s false prophets–that we need not fear God, that we can walk after our own desires, that we do not need to follow God’s commandments, that we can make our own choices, and that we can serve ourselves

That’s the test.  You’ll find plenty of people who will support your choice, if you follow the false prophets.  You may even believe that you can blame it on them if they’re wrong.  But if you are able to read these words of mine, you also have access to the Word of God.  You WILL be judged by what is in that book, whether you take the time to read it, or not.

Code Red Warning

Ever since the Lord woke me today, I have had the sense of something impending. I finished with my outside chores, hours before usual. Then, just as I came inside, I received a ‘code red weather warning’ on my cell phone.

Storm Approaching

Now, I don’t think this thunderstorm, damaging winds, and hail are going to be a disaster of any sort—but I believe the Lord wanted to illustrate something to me, so that I could share it with you.

  • I received the code red warning—because I had signed up for it.
  • I don’t know if my neighbors got the warning, but they could have signed up too—it is free to all residents of our city.
  • Should I go pounding on their doors and warn them? No. By now the storm clouds are visible and the winds have begun. They should now be able to see for themselves, that a storm is on the way.

What does this have to do with you? With anything?

Terrible, terrible times are coming. God is warning His children whose hearts are turned towards Him, the ones who are watching.  But many of His children are asleep. We, who have seen what is approaching, have been called to wake them, and give them the warning.

What is it we are to tell our brothers and sisters (who could have ‘signed up for the warning’ themselves)? We are to tell them to repent! Remember the verse?:

‘if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (II Chronicles 7:14)’

It’s long past time for His people to wake up, repent, and pray for His mercy—for themselves and their own families. It is too late to ‘turn back the clock’ in America.  We have passed the point of no (will to) return. God has blessed Americans with prosperity and abundance for a long time, yet we have neither sought Him, nor thanked Him.  Instead, for decades, we have used the free time and money that our prosperity afforded us to pursue our own selfish ambitions and secret sins.  Therefore, God’s judgment has begun and, this time, there will be no turning back.

The sins of mankind ‘are piled up to heaven’, and God is ready to deal with them.  Are we to send out another warning message to the world? No. Not this time.  Sometimes we need to step aside and get out of God’s way.  Judgment upon the world has begun.  This is God’s will, in order that He still may be able to reach some of the lost whose hearts are hardened.  The warnings God is now giving, are for His children.

If you do not consider yourself one of His children, count yourself very blessed that you are hearing the warning—blessed that God cares enough for you to try, yet again, to penetrate your heart with truth, to try to turn you away from sin and to His salvation.

If you are one of His children, it’s time to stop fooling around!! Start today, to throw off the sins that have entangled you, and commit to follow Him wholeheartedly!!

Will you suffer in the days ahead? Probably. You see, you reap what you sow, and you have been sowing a lot of ‘bad seed’ up until now. The consequences of some of those deeds will still catch up with you. Get on your knees and plead with God for mercy.

What I have to say next will be hard to hear.

My heart goes out to the innocent children, for what they will suffer in the days and years ahead (and for what many already are suffering now). I plead with God to have mercy upon the children and His word to me was:

‘I am. I’m taking them home.’

Some of you will lose your children. Pray for God’s mercy, that He will take them home—rather than for them to fall into the hands of evildoers. (Who would have thought we would live to see the day that Christians would rejoice at the death of an innocent child?)
Follow God wholeheartedly, and trust completely in Him.  He is able to save you, to feed you, to clothe you, to sustain you. When bad things come, humble yourselves. Don’t be proud and stand in defiance, shaking your fist at God and throwing the blame at Him!

‘whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure’ (Psalms 101:5)

‘Beware of turning to evil, which you seem to prefer to affliction’ (Job 36:21)

The world is reaping the harvest of all the sin that mankind has been sowing. God gave us guidelines for living, so that we might live long upon the earth, in health and in peace.  But, like sheep, we have each wandered off on our own and done as we pleased.

He has lumped all our sins together, and is hurling them back upon the earth. Do you personally deserve the exact, specific hardship you are suffering? Likely not.  BUT, how many sins did you commit for which you were never personally punished?

If you are His child, by way of repentance and turning to Jesus Christ (and continuing in obedience), then your sins are forgiven and not held to your account.  But, sin does not just disappear.   Somewhere, somehow, it has substance in the spiritual realm. God still deals with the sin. The earth, and its inhabitants, will still reap the results of sin. We are all sinners, we will all suffer because of sin.

His children won’t die for their sins, which He has forgiven. (important note: ‘you have not because you ask not’—if you want forgiveness for your sins, you must humble yourself before God and ask His forgiveness) But, will you suffer or die? Suffer-yes, die-maybe. But, not as a punishment from God directed at you personally.

Make up your mind, no matter what, to remain humble and not become indignant with God, over anything that seems like an injustice that you may have to bear. Remember, that it was your sins too, that sent Jesus to the cross. It is only by the grace and mercy of God that you can even be saved—you are not entitled!!  None of us is!!

Trust in the goodness of God.

‘Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.’ (Psalms 106:1)

‘Yet He has not left Himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; He provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.’ (Acts 14:17)

God’s children will not suffer His wrath (His obedient children, that is. Important note: ‘once saved, always saved’ is a lie!!)

God’s wrath = ‘The Day of The Lord’ = the day that Christ returns

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.’ (I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

We will go up as God’s wrath is coming down. Don’t look for the Lord to ‘rapture’ you out of tribulations (but live righteously nevertheless).

The alarm has gone out to all who will listen.  The window of opportunity is closing.  Deception abounds.  Every day your heart grows colder and harder.  Make your peace with God now, while there is yet time!

‘From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.’ (Acts 17:26-27)

‘. . . for God is greater than man.
Why do you complain to Him
that He answers none of man’s words?
For God does speak—now one way, now another—
though man may not perceive it.
In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on men
as they slumber in their beds,
He may speak in their ears
and terrify them with warnings,
to turn man from wrongdoing
and keep him from pride,
to preserve his soul from the pit,
his life from perishing by the sword.

Or a man may be chastened on a bed of pain
with constant distress in his bones,
so that his very being finds food repulsive
and his soul loathes the choicest meal.
His flesh wastes away to nothing,
and his bones, once hidden, now stick out.
His soul draws near to the pit,
and his life to the messengers of death.

“Yet if there is an angel on his side
as a mediator, one out of a thousand,
to tell a man what is right for him,
to be gracious to him and say,
‘Spare him from going down to the pit;
I have found a ransom for him’—
then his flesh is renewed like a child’s;
it is restored as in the days of his youth.
He prays to God and finds favor with Him,
he sees God’s face and shouts for joy;
he is restored by God to his righteous state.

Then he comes to men and says,
‘I sinned, and perverted what was right,
but I did not get what I deserved.
He redeemed my soul from going down to the pit,
and I will live to enjoy the light.’

“God does all these things to a man—
twice, even three times—
to turn back his soul from the pit,
that the light of life may shine on him.’
(Job 33:13-30)
