Too many self-professed Christians settle for unanswered prayers (and others no longer pray) without ever seeking the REASON that their prayers are not answered.

We are promised that God hears and answers our prayers . . . BUT, this is a CONDITIONAL promise. (Too many Bible teachers leave that part out.) The reason the self-professed ‘Church’ today is without power, is that the self-professed ‘Church’ today is without OBEDIENCE.

‘IF ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. IF YE KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.’ (John 15:7-10)

‘And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, BECAUSE WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.’ (1 John 3:22)

IF we keep His Commandments, we can ask what we will and it shall be done for us.

The New Testament is not a collection of suggestions from which we can pick and choose. It is an outline of God’s expectations for how we should live, if we are going to call ourselves by His name.

Want to see power in your prayers? Want to pray for people and have them be healed and delivered? Then live a life of obedience to God. Keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight, and He will grant what you ask.
