” 10. “This new monotheism is Satan’s substitute for Judeo Christianity and seeks to take over the Earth. It is an attempt to copy aspects of both Judaism and Christianity, while at the same time cutting the real meaning and heart out of each and substituting a reasonable deception and fraud.

Satan’s name is Deceiver. If we seriously and carefully compare God’s revelation given to the prophets of Israel and through Jesus and his disciples as found in the Bible with the Qur’an and the teachings of Muhammad and Islam, there is no other conclusion to make than that this religious charade is a very clever invention of Satan, the imposter.

Islam provides no Savior, no grace, no salvation from sin, no lasting forgiveness, no real love and no intimate fellowship with God. At its heart it offers sensual or lust-of-the flesh satisfactions which are in the category of Satan’s appeal to Eve’s flesh in the Garden of Eden.  Islam’s promised Paradise, for example, which can be achieved by dying for Allah, is a well-watered garden filled with tasty food and drink and an unending heavenly orgy of sex.

There is no mention of the spiritual heavenly joy of experiencing the eternal presence of God and His glory.  A Muslim can never have a close personal relationship with God or “know” God as his Heavenly Father in this life or in the life to come. One can only have this relationship with Jesus Christ who said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). It is too bad that Muhammad did not know this statement of Jesus.” (Islam Rising, Jim Murk, p184) “

The Gates Of Hell Shall Not Prevail Against Us

“1.  Islam, as a religious system, is entirely of Satanic origin. The Devil is behind every aspect of it. It is a “monotheistic” form of the ancient moon worship that Abraham left in Iraq 2000 BC, but which his descendents through Ishmael have continued.

When Muslims circle the Kabah en mass, the Devil is the true object of their worship. The Bible teaches that the Devil and demons use religions like Islam in order to be worshipped by man as God. “the Gentiles sacrifice things to demons and not to God” 1 Cor 10:20; 2 Chron 18:21-22; Acts 17:16-23; Lev 17:7 ; Deut 32:17; Ps 106:37; Rev 9:20; Rev 16:13-14; Rev 18:2; 1 Ti 4:1-2; Gal 1:8.

That Islam is clearly of satanic origin is seen in how vicious the theological and physical attacks are against Christians or anyone who believes that Christ was crucified at all, or that Christ is God’s Son.

Islam to pagan Arabs is an excellent satanic counterfeit that has influenced 1/4 of the earth’s population. Islam is certainly the Devil’s greatest challenge against the one true God and and Saviour: Jesus Christ.”

I have always taken Matthew 24:24 to mean that when ‘the antichrist’ came, he would be so convincing that he would very nearly fool true Christians, but that it isn’t possible for him to. This has led me not to blindly accept the common interpretations of end-times prophecies.

Ironically, looking more closely at this verse has caused me to consider that my interpretation of it might not be the meaning that the Lord was trying to convey to us.

When I compare different translations of the verse, the meaning I take away now is, to paraphrase: false messiahs and false prophets will come and they’ll use great signs and wonders in an attempt to deceive everyone, including Christians, if possible. I don’t see that verse assuring us that we cannot be led astray. The King James version and the NIV seem to imply it, but the other versions don’t. (See comparison of versions here.)

In fact, we have seen people follow (and worship?) men like Charles Manson, Jim Jones, and David Koresh, and who may have believed their leader was a Messiah. Some of them would undoubtedly have insisted that they (themselves) were Christians.

Joseph Smith and Muhammed (false prophets) claimed divine revelation and supernatural signs. (Did Joseph Smith ‘target’ sincere, but not well-grounded Christians?) Today, via the wonders of modern technology, we have some televangelists whose target audience is Christians, that they deliberately lead astray to line their own pockets.

I think the point of the verse may be, that there are evil men who will pose as prophets and saviors in a deliberate attempt to lead people astray—and some of them will purposely target Christians. Take heed that NO man deceive you.

A common teaching is that ‘the antichrist’ will be a man of great charisma and charm who is loved by everyone, and almost no one can discern that he is the guy. I don’t see that spelled out in Scripture. I believe it is a common assumption.

By the way, don’t make the mistake of believing ‘the antichrist’ (as people call him) is the same as ‘the beast’ in Revelation 13. The antichrist is the ‘mouth’ of the beast (Rev. 13:5), the spokesman for the beast (empire), if you will. This spokesman/leader will be given authority over everyone, and everyone will worship the beast (empire) he represents. He is the one who will make war against Christians. This is who people refer to as ‘the antichrist’.

While we are on the subject of assumptions—don’t assume God gives the antichrist his authority. (Rev. 13:5, 13:7) It MAY come from God, or it may be granted as the result of a vote by the people, an appointment by a committee or organization (such as the UN, a world council of churches, the Vatican, the leaders of Islam, etc.).

It might be that he is elected, or appointed for 42 months, or that God only allows him 42 months.

‘Power to make war against the saints and to conquer them’ might be what God allows him, or it might be a job assigned to him by men.

All the inhabitants of the Earth (except those chosen by God) may willingly, adoringly worship the beast empire—or they people may ‘worship’ it by being in awe of it, or by paying a tithe or tax to it, etc.

I think many times we don’t even realize that we are making assumptions, but a word can have many meanings, and words combined can have a multitude of possible interpretations.

Many prophecies were given concerning the (first) coming of Jesus Christ. He fulfilled them all, but some of them were so subtle that their fulfillment was overlooked. I believe that the religious had already determined in their minds just what His coming would ‘look like’—but apparently they were wrong. For that reason, I encourage you to keep an open mind, and seek God for wisdom, in the perilous times that lay ahead!

The (first) coming of Christ was revealed to the ordinary, the humble, and the outcast. God did not reveal himself to the powerful, the prideful, or the religious. It was not revealed to Bible scholars, religious leaders, or kings. But it was revealed to shepherds, an aged widow, and a devout man (Luke 2:8-38). His birth was revealed to those who were waiting and hoping in Him.

It is ALL about the condition of our heart. It is not by having knowledge, and a complete understanding of God’s word that some will be able to recognize ‘the antichrist’ when he comes. I believe his appearing, while fulfilling prophecies, will not be what people expect. I think many of the prophecies will be very subtle, and low-key in their fulfillment (ie. easy to miss). But I believe that those whose hearts are humble, and turned toward God, will receive His revelation—and warning–when it comes to them.

One last thing, in regards to the coming of the antichrist, and the first coming of Christ–it bears repeating, that most people don’t believe Jesus was the Messiah.  They are most likely looking for the same sort of leader that they were looking for when He came the first time.  More clues to what the antichrist will be like might be found simply by finding out what people who are looking for a messiah are expecting.

Readers, I want to point out something important.  I paraphrase a lot of things the Bible says, but don’t give references.  If you are not a Christian, it may not matter to you–it is the Holy Spirit that draws you.  If you are a Christian–has this bothered any of you?

If you know the Bible well, then probably not, because you know these things.  But if you don’t know the Bible well, and you want to question where something is written in the Bible–please ask!  It is important that you don’t believe everything you hear.  Many deceivers and lies are in the world–and even those of us who strive to be truthful, can sometimes be mistaken.  Always be on guard!

The Bible tells us (1 John 4:2-3) how to recognize the Spirit of God.

“Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.”

In God’s Word, not one word is spoken in vain.  Every word here is important.  It’s easy to skim over it and miss the meaning.

A lot of false/antichrist religions acknowledge that Jesus lived on Earth–so how can this passage be true?

Let me add my comments and emphases here:

“Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus (the human being) Christ (the Messiah, the Savior that God has sent, God himself) has come in the flesh ( is Jesus) is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus (as the promised savior/messiah, who came and lived on Earth) is not from God.”

The test is whether they acknowledge that Jesus came to Earth and that He is the Messiah–the Savior, God in the flesh.

Please look around and reevaluate some of the religions that you may have thought passed the test.  If they only recognize Jesus as being a good man, a teacher, or a prophet–they are not from God, but are antichrist (anti=against, Jesus being the, christ=promised one, messiah, savior) because they do not recognize that Jesus is the Christ.

Christ was not Jesus’ last name!  Every time ‘ Jesus Christ’  is spoken, or written, it is an acknowledgment that  Jesus is the savior that God promised to send, to save mankind from our sins!

So, in answer to the title: Was Jesus a prophet?  Yes–and much, much more!!

Was Judas Set Up . . . By Jesus?

A ‘Sleeper’ Doctrine?

The day has arrived that we must ‘shake the dust off our feet’ in regards to some of the people in our lives that we have been trying to persuade to Christ.  When the time arrives to ‘shake the dust off’ in regards to a specific person, the Lord will speak to your heart.  It is important to  listen, because God knows the heart and He knows the point at which a person has decided that their ‘final answer’ is ‘NO’.  Beyond that, you are wasting precious time.

He may already be speaking this to your heart about some of the people in your life, and you may have found it very confusing–but He does not call us to devote our life to persuading anyone to turn to Him.  When He sent out the twelve disciples to different villages, two by two (as their first ‘solo flight’, as Christians ministering the gospel through the power of God) Jesus gave them specific instructions. Part of that instruction was:

‘if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave, as a testimony against them.’

His desire is that we present the truth, live the truth, and minister in what ways we are able.  We are not to so heavily invest ourselves in someone that we bind ourselves to them and make their choice our responsibility.  The Lord wants people who truly desire to walk with Him–who choose Him out of their own free will,  not from constant badgering or guilt.

He called us to be witnesses–to the truth and to what He has done in our lives–not salesmen.  It is the job of the Holy Spirit to persuade men of their sins and personal need for a Savior.  In fact, if we go beyond presenting and living the truth and ministering as we are able, we may very well have the opposite effect and actually get in the way of the Holy Spirit and cause a person to harden his heart!  People come to Jesus out of hunger!  Force feeding has the opposite effect.

And that brings us to the unfortunate situation of people who are ‘unequally yoked’.  If you are married to an unbeliever, you need to prepare your heart.  The day is soon coming that you will be confronted with a choice: will you choose to join your unbelieving spouse and turn your back on God, or will you stand firm in your faith, and lose your spouse?

When the time to choose arrives, the Lord will speak to your heart

‘Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy.’

Will you heed His voice?

There comes a time when you have to let go of your hopes for someone and accept things for what they are.  I am not saying you should leave your spouse–that is a choice for the Lord to direct you in.  I am saying, don’t be surprised if your spouse leaves you.

Prepare your heart for the possibility that your spouse will leave you, in the not too distant future, if you continue to serve God.  Evil has greatly increased on the earth and people are now, consciously or not, making spiritual decisions.  As things get more difficult, they will act out of what is in their heart, and the spiritual decisions they have made.

Make up your mind now, what you will do when that time comes.  You will be very vulnerable to making a choice you will regret, when that horrible day arrives.  There are few things more agonizing than being left by the one you love.  But the Lord will sustain you through that time, if you choose to remain in Him.

The hour that Jesus spoke of has arrived:
‘Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth.  I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn

‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law–a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’

Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.  Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.’

There has recently been a shift in the spiritual realm. It seems that people are no longer restraining the evil that is within their hearts.  Evil wants nothing to do with good, and good wants nothing to do with evil.  Everyone seems to be choosing one side or the other.  The Lord is calling us again, to devote ourselves fully to Him, and to begin to emotionally distance ourselves from those who have rejected Him.

[Here is a word to those of you who think that you can hide behind your  unbelieving spouse:
Do not listen to the lying whisper that tells you you can just keep quiet about being a Christian, find some way not to get ‘The Mark’ and be ok, (because you know your spouse will take it and will still be able to buy and sell, thus providing for your needs)!  The Lord knows your heart and is not pleased.  Repent and put your faith in Him.]

It’s Time To ‘Shake The Dust Off’ (Part 2)

You Only Die Once–Make It Count!

Here’s The Deal . . .

(written 2/6/09)

Part I

We are usually unaware of how our perceptions and understanding of life are filtered through our paradigm. That paradigm is shaped by our experiences, our friends, our family , the people in our lives, the media. ‘That’s just the way things are’ or ‘That’s how things work’ or ‘That’s how things should be’—that is our paradigm. Anything outside of our paradigm is ‘impossible’ or ‘unthinkable’. Few of us think to question it. But, the American Paradigm is about to be shattered.

When we have observed people with whom nothing makes sense , whose explanations are full of holes, and whose actions seem illogical at best, we begin to doubt their honesty. Most honest people operate from the paradigm that others are honest and it is very confusing to them when confronted with the incongruency of a dishonest person. Other dishonest people aren’t fooled, because they operate from a different paradigm—one that allows for the possibility than any other person may also be dishonest. Innocence, naivette, gullibility, call it what you will. Take a small child who believes in Santa Claus and confront him with the truth. He will call upon the most absurd explanations to preserve his paradigm! When our paradigm is shown to be false, we are shaken to our core.

God often teaches us by patterns. For the past few years, and certainly accelerating in recent days, are the uncoverings of dishonesty in people and institutions that we have trusted. Lets assume the acceleration is God’s way of speaking LOUDLY to us, of putting an exclamation point at the end of the lesson. What might this lesson be? What might each of these uncoverings be foreshadowing? Are they beginning to put some cracks into the American Paradigm . . . beginning to open our eyes to things that seemed unthinkable . . . impossible?

When you look around you does everything seem to be coming apart? Is everything happening too quickly to make sense of it? Are we calling upon absurd explanations to make sense of all that is unfolding around us? ‘The American People’ are very optimistic, generous, and naïve. That is at the core of our paradigm. But, what if there really is evil afoot? What if there really are people who are not concerned with the common good, but rather, with their own ambitions? No, that’s not news, we can all agree on that. We’ve seen that for a number of years, and certainly, accelerating in recent days. But what might this foreshadow? What might God want to open our eyes to . . . to warn us about? What is coming?

Part II

The president of the United States loves The American People and seeks for their good, for their best . . . the president of the United States is a benevolent leader whose patriotism is beyond question . . . the president represents the will of those who elected him . . . the president’s will is to honor the high calling of serving and protecting The American People. Paradigm.

What if his will superseded the will of The American People? What if he was neither serving, nor protecting The American People? When we observed him, would nothing make sense? Would his explanations be full of holes? Would his actions seem illogical at best?

If he were corrupt, dishonest and concerned with his own ambitions . . . if he was not working for our good . . . if he was not benevolent . . . not patriotic . . . what could his agenda possibly be? Who is more powerful than the President of the United States? Who COULD BE more powerful than the President . . . ? What more could he desire? Power corrupts.

What if he felt called, chosen, destined . . . to unite and lead the world?

Part III

What would it take to unite the world? Country against country, clan against clan, family against family . . . what could possibly be big enough to unite the world? It must be a believable threat. Whether or not it be true is irrelevant. What is crucial is that the threat be credible to people all over the world and soon affect them personally. A threat that no one could escape. A terrible shadow looming over all of mankind. An urgent mandate to unite against a common threat. Something huge enough to make us oblivious to a shift of power, or to clamor for it, in light of the threat we faced. Global warming . . . economic collapse . . . pandemic . . . natural disaster . . .

Part II Revisited

What if he felt called, chosen, destined . . . to unite and lead the world?

Would his patriotism . . . to the entire world . . . not be more noble than allegiance to just one country?

In the name of world peace and unity he could undermine his country . . . disarm them . . . reverse the old policies . . . make concessions . . . negotiate with terrorists . . . empower the downtrodden . . . reconcile age-old enemies . . . and be revered as . . . Savior Of The World.

A new paradigm bursts forth! The deceptive explanations, the illogical actions . . . it all fits now. It all makes sense. All the pieces are coming together-quickly. The confusion gives way to clarity, the nagging doubts become certainty, the senseless now makes perfect sense. Thunder resounds as The American Paradigm is shattered and crumbles to the ground. Tears fall like rain and the people shriek in rage . . . betrayed, betrayed, betrayed . . .

Oh Yes He Does Get It!
