Most people understand that America has been blessed, but those who write history have left God out of the story.  Our children suppose that things have always been this way, and always will be.  Here is how God would describe America’s recent past:

If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make [you] afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you. And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new. And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.  And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.’  (Lev. 26:3-12)

Does this not perfectly describe America since World War 2?  All that we have had has come from God, but it was conditioned upon one thing:  that we walk in His ways.  Our laws were founded upon His commandments.  People followed those laws because it was the right thing to do.  People didn’t look for loopholes.  They didn’t obey only so long as someone was watching.  They were upright in their hearts.

But then came the sixties, the time of the great rebellion.  The hearts of the children turned away from God and His ways.  They ran after the pleasures of sin instead.  But the pleasures of sin last only for a season.  Fifty years later, God is giving His last calls for repentance.  If the heart of our nation doesn’t turn soon, our future is already written . . .

‘But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, [but] that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.’  (Lev. 26:14-18)

If you feel the list bit of guilt today, confess to God and get right with Him . . . because it seems to be, that when hardship falls on those whose hearts are hard, it hardens them even more.  When trouble comes, you may be too proud and too angry to repent.

Things in America are such a mess–where DO we begin?

I am always inspired by the story of Gideon, who led a very small band of warriors to victory.  With a few people who are committed to doing what is right, and with the supernatural help of God, anything can be overcome.

I know, that for every ten people who read this post, one might be inspired.  And of every ten who are inspired, one may actually be moved to do something.  So, I’m probably only speaking to one person, since I don’t have that many readers!!  If I knew who you were, maybe I could tailor this post to you.  ; )

Whoever you are, I don’t know what common ground we share.  I don’t know if you are a Christian, or if you even believe in God/Jehovah.  I am not trying to persuade you to become a Christian, if you are not.

Lets assume that we have only three things in common

  1. we have the longing to do right
  2. we want to know the truth
  3. we are Americans

May I ask you to entertain the idea that there may be a God above us all, and that He loves what is right and true, and hates what is deceitful and wrong?

I believe there is such a God, and that He is speaking to my heart– saying that America is doing much more wrong than good, and it displeases Him.  I believe He wants us to turn from evil and begin to do good again, so that we may live in peace.  I believe He wants to help us  turn things around in America–but I believe He wants us to clean things up in our own lives too.

I believe, if we want His supernatural help (and we surely need it), that we need to do things His way–rightly and honestly–and that we need to strive to be right and true in our own lives.  I believe that He wants us to take the first step, if we want His help.

I believe, if we will begin by giving up even one bad thing we are doing, He will see it as a step we are taking towards Him, and He will reward that effort.

You have probably heard people say that God/Jehovah is judging America.  If that is true, then we know from His Bible that there is a remedy:  If those who believe in God will apologize to Him for the bad things they are doing–and stop doing them–God will hear their prayers, forgive them, and fix things in their country.

If God is real, if He is judging America, and if we want to see America fixed, then we have to stop doing bad things in our own lives first.

So, here is my hope:

  • I hope that there are a few people throughout America, who will stop doing wrong and ask God to forgive and help them.
  • Then, I hope that these people will begin to learn about what is going on (God will supernaturally lead them to the information).
  • When they learn what is going on, I hope they will begin to shine light on it–expose it–by telling others (God will help them have the courage to tell others).
  • I believe, if enough people turn to doing what is right, and ask God for His help, He will step in and fix the mess.

I know that’s not the way most people would deal with things–but the problems and schemes confronting America are too broad, and wide, and deep, for us to know how to fix them ourselves.

God, however, can wave His hand over the whole big mess, over every evil scheme, and cause it to unravel.  Then He can show us the right way to put things back together.   If we allow God to be our leader and protector, we will live in peace.

If we do it this way, God will punish the guilty Himself and protect the innocent.  If we do it this way, we will not be among the guilty.  If we do it this way, none of us will have blood on our hands.  If we do it this way, God’s blessings can once again shine down upon America, and we can live in peace.

When Is The Rapture?

In light of the immense suffering that the people of Japan are enduring, this must seem like a particularly callous question.  I am asking it, because God has raised up watchmen to prophesy judgment over America, and some of us are hearing that message quite often.   With such things at the forefront of our consciousness, it can be easy to assume that any Nation that is suffering disaster must be under God’s judgment.  However, that may not be the case.

I know very little of Japan, and do not have an answer to that question.  However, I do know that before God judges a nation, He raises up watchmen to give a warning and to call the people to repentance.  What do the Christians in Japan say?  Surely God does nothing without first telling His people.

I will share my feelings about the nation of Japan, though I certainly know very little.  Perhaps it will add another small facet of understanding, for those who ponder such things.

I know of Japan, that horrendous acts took place during their war with China.  Cruel, vicious crimes were committed.  The Japanese were a fierce and violent people.

Their lust for war plunged us into World War II, after their unprovoked (as far as I know) attack on Pearl Harbor.  The United States rose up in rage and nearly crushed Japan, when we bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

After that, something changed in the heart of the Japanese people.  I don’t know that the Japanese people ever fell on their knees and repented before God.  I don’t know if they ever called out to God at all.  But I do know that they have  ‘proved their repentance by their deeds’ over more than six decades.

Since World War II, the people of Japan have become a people of civility, and industry.  They have lived quietly, worked with their hands, and created beauty.  They have kept their honor and their word.  They have found the law that God wrote upon their hearts, and they have lived it.

I don’t have the wisdom to say whether God is judging Japan–but I know that hardships come to all of us.  Sometimes they come to chasten us, and other times to refine us.

I urge you not to harden your hearts against the people of Japan . . . not to assume that they are being judged or merit the tremendous hardships that have befallen them.  And I urge you not to harden your heart against God . . . not to assume that He sent these disasters upon them.

Rather, hold the Japanese in your heart and pray for them to have strength.  Pray for God’s mercy upon them, in the weeks and months ahead.  Pray that this hardship further refines them, and brings forth even greater beauty from their souls.  And, most importantly, pray that they will turn their eyes to Jesus and find their strength and inspiration in Him.

This is an email I received, it pretty well sums it up.  The Jews aren’t just God’s chosen people so they can live on ‘Easy Street’.  They are the people God chose, through whom He would bless us all!

TOTAL: 129 ONE HUNDRED TWENTY NINE!

The Jews are NOT promoting brain washing children in military training camps, teaching them how to blow themselves up and cause maximum deaths of Jews and other non Muslims!

The Jews don’t hijack planes, nor kill athletes at the Olympics, or blow themselves up in German restaurants. There is NOT one single Jew that has destroyed a church. There is NOT a single Jew that protests by killing people.

The Jews don’t traffic slaves, nor have leaders calling for Jihad and death to all the Infidels.

Perhaps the world’s Muslims should consider investing more in standard education and less in blaming the Jews for all their problems.

Muslims must ask ‘what can they do for humankind’ before they demand that humankind respects them!!

Regardless of your feelings about the crisis between  Israel  and the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, even if you believe there is more culpability on  Israel’s part, the following two sentences really say it all:

‘If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence.
If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more  Israel ‘. -Benjamin Netanyahu

God created everything from ‘nothing’, yet it was formed of some substance.  That substance was not pure.  It was seeded with corruption.  Everything created from that substance had the ability to either mature into evil–which would eventually consume all good within it–or to mature into good.

When God created darkness and light, He ‘saw that the light was good.’  When he created the land and the seas; the plants; the stars, the sun and the moon; the birds and the animals; He ‘saw that [His creation] was good’.  And when He created man He ‘saw that [His creation] was very good’

Mankind has always interpreted that as ‘perfect’.  God’s creation was not perfect, because the substance from which He formed it was not perfect.  Neither was the Garden of Eden perfect.  But it was a place of protection.  A place of God’s absolute provision, peace, and safety.  Similarly, God’s promise to the Israelites was protection, provision, peace, and safety.

God’s hope for mankind was that they would choose Him, and be content with that–that they would not even learn about evil, much less experience it.  But, through disobedience, sin entered the world.

By the time of Noah, sin had become so rampant that only eight souls could be spared.  By the time of Abraham, only one man sought Him.  Years later, when God led the Israelites out of Egypt, He hoped they had seen enough evil that they would leave it behind and let Him lead them in the paths of righteousness.  But that was not to be.  Most of them died in the wilderness.

The real promise of the ‘Promised Land’ was that it would be a place set apart, a land of abundance, protection, peace, safety, and the presence of God–but first, evil had to be conquered.

The land itself was filled with evil–evil brought about by its inhabitants worshiping the spirit beings (principalities) that God had appointed to oversee the different areas of the earth.  Along with man, angels fell.

It was God’s plan to carve out a small place on the earth, for Himself and His people–a place to which others could come, who wanted to know Him.  God directed His people to purge the land of its inhabitants, because they were consumed with evil, and His angels did war in the spiritual realm, binding the principalities of darkness and preparing a place where He could reside.

There He lived among them.  The land flourished and the people became prosperous.  He gave them guidelines to live by, so that evil could not gain a foothold in their hearts.  He promised His protection, whenever evil would come against them.  But He could not abide evil within them.  God’s war has always been a war against evil, in whatever form it takes.  Woe to him who harbors evil inside himself, for he has made himself an enemy of God.

And there He lived among them–those whom  He had chosen to protect from the evil outside their borders, those whom He would teach to overcome the evil within themselves.

He allowed the light that emanated from that place to provoke the forces of darkness and evil to wrath.  Driven mad by their rage, they would come against the place of light, and the people of God, and He would execute judgment against them.  This is how He continually purged the land of evil.

Yet, even His people continued to gravitate towards sin, so He let them go into captivity.  They preferred evil, so He gave them over to it.  Too few chose righteousness, and they invited the gods of the surrounding nations into their land.  Eventually He withdrew His presence.

Eventually people covered the face of the earth, and sin abounded.  The time had come to send His son–as savior, and ambassador of the good news about Him.  Jesus came and sought out eleven men in whom He saw the desire for righteousness–and one more, who was locked in a life and death struggle with the powers of darkness, and needed His personal intervention.  He would teach them to overcome the evil within, and to battle the evil without.

He would not promise them His abundance and protection in the earthly realm, because shielding men from evil had only caused them to become complacent and proud.  He would not promise them peace, because it would be their duty to confront evil and battle it head on.  He would not promise them safety, because their motivations in serving Him must be pure. But He would promise them His presence, and power to overcome.

It would be their task to seek out others and teach them, and those would eventually go on to do the same.  He told them to go to the four corners of the earth to share the truth about good and evil, and how to be reconciled to Him.  And He postponed judgment on those who persecuted them, because He wanted to sift the souls and intentions of all men.

Again, as He had done with the nation of Israel, He used the light that emanated from them (‘the Church’ aka ‘Christians’) to provoke the forces of  evil to wrath.  Driven mad by their rage, they would come against the ambassadors of truth,  the people of God, and He would store up judgment against them.  This is how He would finally purge the earth of evil.

We are living in the final days of this part of God’s plan.  The forces of evil are rising up once again, to come against all of God’s people, in the hopes of erasing His presence, His name, and His people from the earth forever.

And, as He always has, God will let His light shine forth to infuriate the forces of darkness into attacking.  This will bring judgment upon them–but this time, judgment will be quick in coming!

Testing And Purging

How Can You Say Your Way Is The Only Way?

Code Red Warning

Ever since the Lord woke me today, I have had the sense of something impending. I finished with my outside chores, hours before usual. Then, just as I came inside, I received a ‘code red weather warning’ on my cell phone.

Storm Approaching

Now, I don’t think this thunderstorm, damaging winds, and hail are going to be a disaster of any sort—but I believe the Lord wanted to illustrate something to me, so that I could share it with you.

  • I received the code red warning—because I had signed up for it.
  • I don’t know if my neighbors got the warning, but they could have signed up too—it is free to all residents of our city.
  • Should I go pounding on their doors and warn them? No. By now the storm clouds are visible and the winds have begun. They should now be able to see for themselves, that a storm is on the way.

What does this have to do with you? With anything?

Terrible, terrible times are coming. God is warning His children whose hearts are turned towards Him, the ones who are watching.  But many of His children are asleep. We, who have seen what is approaching, have been called to wake them, and give them the warning.

What is it we are to tell our brothers and sisters (who could have ‘signed up for the warning’ themselves)? We are to tell them to repent! Remember the verse?:

‘if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (II Chronicles 7:14)’

It’s long past time for His people to wake up, repent, and pray for His mercy—for themselves and their own families. It is too late to ‘turn back the clock’ in America.  We have passed the point of no (will to) return. God has blessed Americans with prosperity and abundance for a long time, yet we have neither sought Him, nor thanked Him.  Instead, for decades, we have used the free time and money that our prosperity afforded us to pursue our own selfish ambitions and secret sins.  Therefore, God’s judgment has begun and, this time, there will be no turning back.

The sins of mankind ‘are piled up to heaven’, and God is ready to deal with them.  Are we to send out another warning message to the world? No. Not this time.  Sometimes we need to step aside and get out of God’s way.  Judgment upon the world has begun.  This is God’s will, in order that He still may be able to reach some of the lost whose hearts are hardened.  The warnings God is now giving, are for His children.

If you do not consider yourself one of His children, count yourself very blessed that you are hearing the warning—blessed that God cares enough for you to try, yet again, to penetrate your heart with truth, to try to turn you away from sin and to His salvation.

If you are one of His children, it’s time to stop fooling around!! Start today, to throw off the sins that have entangled you, and commit to follow Him wholeheartedly!!

Will you suffer in the days ahead? Probably. You see, you reap what you sow, and you have been sowing a lot of ‘bad seed’ up until now. The consequences of some of those deeds will still catch up with you. Get on your knees and plead with God for mercy.

What I have to say next will be hard to hear.

My heart goes out to the innocent children, for what they will suffer in the days and years ahead (and for what many already are suffering now). I plead with God to have mercy upon the children and His word to me was:

‘I am. I’m taking them home.’

Some of you will lose your children. Pray for God’s mercy, that He will take them home—rather than for them to fall into the hands of evildoers. (Who would have thought we would live to see the day that Christians would rejoice at the death of an innocent child?)
Follow God wholeheartedly, and trust completely in Him.  He is able to save you, to feed you, to clothe you, to sustain you. When bad things come, humble yourselves. Don’t be proud and stand in defiance, shaking your fist at God and throwing the blame at Him!

‘whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure’ (Psalms 101:5)

‘Beware of turning to evil, which you seem to prefer to affliction’ (Job 36:21)

The world is reaping the harvest of all the sin that mankind has been sowing. God gave us guidelines for living, so that we might live long upon the earth, in health and in peace.  But, like sheep, we have each wandered off on our own and done as we pleased.

He has lumped all our sins together, and is hurling them back upon the earth. Do you personally deserve the exact, specific hardship you are suffering? Likely not.  BUT, how many sins did you commit for which you were never personally punished?

If you are His child, by way of repentance and turning to Jesus Christ (and continuing in obedience), then your sins are forgiven and not held to your account.  But, sin does not just disappear.   Somewhere, somehow, it has substance in the spiritual realm. God still deals with the sin. The earth, and its inhabitants, will still reap the results of sin. We are all sinners, we will all suffer because of sin.

His children won’t die for their sins, which He has forgiven. (important note: ‘you have not because you ask not’—if you want forgiveness for your sins, you must humble yourself before God and ask His forgiveness) But, will you suffer or die? Suffer-yes, die-maybe. But, not as a punishment from God directed at you personally.

Make up your mind, no matter what, to remain humble and not become indignant with God, over anything that seems like an injustice that you may have to bear. Remember, that it was your sins too, that sent Jesus to the cross. It is only by the grace and mercy of God that you can even be saved—you are not entitled!!  None of us is!!

Trust in the goodness of God.

‘Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.’ (Psalms 106:1)

‘Yet He has not left Himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; He provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.’ (Acts 14:17)

God’s children will not suffer His wrath (His obedient children, that is. Important note: ‘once saved, always saved’ is a lie!!)

God’s wrath = ‘The Day of The Lord’ = the day that Christ returns

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.’ (I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

We will go up as God’s wrath is coming down. Don’t look for the Lord to ‘rapture’ you out of tribulations (but live righteously nevertheless).

The alarm has gone out to all who will listen.  The window of opportunity is closing.  Deception abounds.  Every day your heart grows colder and harder.  Make your peace with God now, while there is yet time!

‘From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.’ (Acts 17:26-27)

‘. . . for God is greater than man.
Why do you complain to Him
that He answers none of man’s words?
For God does speak—now one way, now another—
though man may not perceive it.
In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on men
as they slumber in their beds,
He may speak in their ears
and terrify them with warnings,
to turn man from wrongdoing
and keep him from pride,
to preserve his soul from the pit,
his life from perishing by the sword.

Or a man may be chastened on a bed of pain
with constant distress in his bones,
so that his very being finds food repulsive
and his soul loathes the choicest meal.
His flesh wastes away to nothing,
and his bones, once hidden, now stick out.
His soul draws near to the pit,
and his life to the messengers of death.

“Yet if there is an angel on his side
as a mediator, one out of a thousand,
to tell a man what is right for him,
to be gracious to him and say,
‘Spare him from going down to the pit;
I have found a ransom for him’—
then his flesh is renewed like a child’s;
it is restored as in the days of his youth.
He prays to God and finds favor with Him,
he sees God’s face and shouts for joy;
he is restored by God to his righteous state.

Then he comes to men and says,
‘I sinned, and perverted what was right,
but I did not get what I deserved.
He redeemed my soul from going down to the pit,
and I will live to enjoy the light.’

“God does all these things to a man—
twice, even three times—
to turn back his soul from the pit,
that the light of life may shine on him.’
(Job 33:13-30)

Has my silence been giving the wrong impression?

For several decades I have been silent–a spectator. I may have written one or two ‘letters to the editor’, but I’m not sure. I never called in to voice my opinion on a talk radio show. I never held up a sign at a rally. In fact, I’m not sure I ever WENT to a rally!

I am starting to believe that my silence may have spoken louder than words. I think that my failing to exercise my freedom of speech may have given the impression that it wasn’t important to me. That by not giving voice to my opinions, it was assumed I was aligned with the majority.

Well, now I’m ‘going postal’ in the blogosphere. Realizing I might lose my right to speak out, I’ve decided to give my viewpoints while I still can.

Our rights have been eroding for a long time. At first it was our own fault. We willing yielded our right to speak by not exercising it. Later, it began to get a bit uncomfortable as ‘political correctness’ swept the nation, but we submitted to that too. The final stage will be to wrest away from us the portion of that freedom that we have held onto.

This is a pattern that repeats itself all around us. It is a principal by which things in this world operate.

We have realized this to some extent-as summarized by the popular phrase ‘if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it’. This is often referring to physical fitness or mental ability, but it applies across the board. What you don’t use, you will ultimately lose.

Take another example from nature. Things have a way of encroaching. If you take time to notice, many weeds creep into your lawn, or garden, from around the edges. Let’s say you take a laid back approach when you mow. You hate to do it so you rarely do. When you get around to it there are thick weeds and small saplings around the edges. So, being laid back, you don’t feel like confronting them and you mow around them. Each time you mow, you give up a little more of your yard because they keep encroaching, pushing further and further in.

Freedom is not a natural state. There is always something encroaching. If you aren’t willing to risk a confrontation, you will end up ceding more and more of your liberty. Our founders knew this and they put in place checks and balances. They realized that, being most closely woven into our lives, our government would be our first greatest threat. Outside enemies come in second. The greatest threats to our liberty are going to come from within.

To keep your freedom you must, at the very least, hold onto the territory that you already have. In America we have certain rights, but if we don’t exercise them, we will find them gone. Most of us probably thought it was enough to put our rights up on a shelf–handy and close, if the occasion should arise that we needed to exercise them. Now, if I leave my car parked in the driveway for twenty or thirty years, I’d be foolish to expect it to work properly when the need arises. So it is with our rights.

If you prize your rights, you’d better use them! Even if it just means taking them down off the shelf every few months, and using them to keep in practice. When you don’t exercise your rights, you imply that you may be willing to surrender them.

It’s time to fight back against the encroachment. It’s time to push back! And this time, lets not be content just to preserve our original boundaries. While we’re at it, lets push farther and take some new ground!

Our first & second Amendment rights are the most in peril right now.

“Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

‘Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.’

It’s time to hold a ‘fire drill’! Please:

* Choose a religion and exercise it!
* Speak out boldly!
* Support the press that tells the truth.
* Assemble peacefully.
* Petition the government as often as necessary.
* Buy a weapon for self defense.

Even if these are things you don’t ordinarily do–in fact, ESPECIALLY if these are things you don’t ordinarily do-do them now! Let me give you some good reasons to:

* You care most about what you are invested in. If you choose a religion, speak out, watch the news, assemble peacefully, sign petitions and buy a weapon, you are going to notice when someone attempts to take that right away from you, and you are going to care!
* Our exercise of our rights makes it clear to those who would take them that: we value our rights, we will notice if they attempt to take them away, and we will probably fight to preserve them. Using your rights can be a powerful deterrent to those who would think to take them away.
* If anyone DOES attempt to rob us of those rights, a great cry will go up, that people all around the world will witness. Most evil prefers to operate in secret!

Let’s push back–hard!!

America–Hijacked!!
Is The Transformation To Communism Already Well Underway?
